I've only been out here for a little over a year, and I haven't been to enough clubs to make an educated top 5, but I do know what my #1 is (no surprise):
1. Circus. I wasn't around in the Spundae days, but the way DJWoody described is exactly how it is now. Good vibes, good crowd, no BS, tons of regulars. I've met countless friends there, it was really the first place I started meeting people when I moved out here. It's like a big family. Not to mention my first club gig is going to be there on Saturday. It may be in need of upgrades, but it seems like the only club in LA where it's still just about the music and the party with no pretense. |

Best club in Vegas from Sound to lighting to ambiance to talent.
#5 The Music Box

Ummm, no. If you experienced Circus back in the day, you wouldn't try to compare. If you think it's good now, you prob can't imagine how good it was then! Those who didn't experience Circus in its heyday should feel unfortunate. |

#1 ENDUP... legendary. My FAV place to throw down
#2 1015... The oldskool days there were beyond epic, and my DJ residency plays a big part ;)
#3 Ruby Skye... fun peeps, awesome venue
#4 Mighty... Always had good times there...
#5 222 Hyde (before the remodel).... like a second friggin home to me for a while there! :whip:
I could go on with some European venues that I've been to that were pretty epic... (aka Cocoon, Ministry, Fabric) and could also go on with the AWESOME LA clubs aka Circus, Avalon, King king....
Too many to list!

That isn't what this thread is about, but...
Amnesia
Space
Stereo
Fabric
And, for the past 4 years, I've hit each of them up (except Fabric: I haven't been back to London in about 10 years...) |

I can only imagine since everybody always talks about it. It still pretty much has the best vibe in LA, though, even if the crowd is smaller than the Spundae era. |

When exactly was Circus' peak? I remember seeing ATB there in Dec of 2005 and he played a major dud of a set. I don't quite remember if he opened with Ecstacy.. yeah, he probably did :p |

| 99 -- maybe 2003, before Spundae left the first time (when Godskitchen bought Spundae Worldwide and moved to Henry Fonda which was a disaster). Dot bomb crash really killed the club scene for awhile in Cali, outside the big DJs, too. |
