Hey! Leave us out of it MSM, there was hardly even any techno there! Dems not my peoples!
but in all seriousness.. this is bad for EDM in this town. LA got enough EDM problems for sure! |
It's a byproduct of the fact that this is one of the few US cities where EDM is popular enough to be mainstream. :/
I'm sure kids in most cities still drive around blaring hip-hop, but here it's always electro I hear. |

Kaskade did.
It was a genuine idea to throw a free party, not many DJs would go out of their way in order to do something like this. He spent a TON of money to give back to his fans. He just didn't really think about it that much lol |

| what was hysterical yet totally unsafe was the truck was driving south on Highland at one point... we see the truck go through the intersection... and then 10 seconds later like 500 hundred people are seeing running after the truck! it was pretty funny to see.... but yest this was a fail on the planning/end result. |

His heart was in the right place, but his mind should of thought about how exactly he was going to pull this off properly so that everyone could have a good time.
Having said that and also having visited LA EDC in 2009, I have to admit that the vibe is killer in LA and hope this event doesn't tarnish the reputation of EDM in the city or elsewhere in general. |

She's a huge house fan. Probably feels like a huge idiot for not knowing who Angello was at the time. |
huge house fan, or just going because it's the "IN" thing to do now? And so she can do all kinds of drugs?
meh..who knows maybe Paris does actually like the music.
he had great intentions...too bad it got shut down though. But, I guess that happens when things are FREE and with the rowdy young L.A. crowd that can't handle themselves properly. I wasn't in Hollywood for this, but just looking at pics of riot police and Kaskade's tweets reminds me of the same type of people jumping the gate at EDC 2010 and getting trampled. Kinda glad EDC moved to Vegas...less hoodlums.

Man, if people are this crazy for Kaskade I wonder how crazy it would be if Daft Punk ever had a show in L.A. |

She's just following whatever is hype at the moment, and this dutch-house, electro house stuff has really blown up the past year or so. So much that even pop stars are copying the sound.
So yeah I'd say she's only following it cuz it's the "in" thing now, whereas in 2009 when that beef happened, it was just begnning. But to be fair to her, a lot of my friends are following this sound even more so then before because the major songs have cheesed it up even more so than before, hence being more 'accessable'. |
