| quality control fail. It seems like the blame should be BP's but I wouldn't put my marbles all on them. One of my harddrives recently went kapoot and thankfully BP let me re-download all the music i had purchased which was around 50 tracks. |

Beatport doesn't do anything to the music before they upload it. If there's a problem that's on the label/producer, not BP.
Quality control isn't Beatport's job, they're a retail store selling someone else's product. Quality control falls on the heads of the people sending music to Beatport the same way a clothing company sends clothes to a department store.
Beatport fail? No. ty amateur hour label fail? Yes. |

Isn't beatport strict about quality control though? They seem to only want you to release if you are already an established artist or label, are a part of an aggregator, and if you aren't one of those two, they want to see your next three releases (of which 2 can't be your productions, and they can't be remixes of your productions) before you get the ok i thought. And after that mess is done, I thought you have to reach a quota.
I go through beatport a lot, and I think those tunes and labels are just aberrations. |
