Next year, I'm predicting big things from the dubstep, dirty dutch and vocal trance genres. I also feel as though a large Guetta hit will top the charts. |
So basically the same as this year |

| Actually, I believe that it has not reach that point yet, there are so many quaility releases all across the globe and it will just get better |

Yep, 99 until early 04. Then it went to . |

There is no such thing as Best Year of Electronic Music.
90's were great because sound was fresh. Then you and me listened to it 24/7 and by 2004 got bored listening to it. Since then we are trying to find "something different" but have failed to relaize that the base of Electronic Music is the same as 90's however talent and taste has evolved into something much bigger than the 90's.
Fantastic electronic music is still out there. However one has to put in the effort of finding it and unlike the 90's the average club and crowd of those clubs only play the more popular and mainstream side of electronic music. |

True enough Ty but that's the thing, we used to be able to hear it regularly at clubs, now it's few and far between (especially trance...) Le sigh. lol |

For me every year is best year. Electronic music is rather generic generally and thus gets old very quickly. Like every year I can barely understand how I listened to something that I did 2 years ago, let alone 10 years ago. What seemed mighty before seems plastic and cheesy today. And the same will be the case with todays music tomorrow.
However, at the actual time of the events I would say 99-2003 were my favorite years. At that time even if inferior by today's standards music was really groundbreaking and epic. |

Yep but I wouldn't say by today's standards it's inferior (well it depends on what kind of EDM). In terms of trance 90% of it today is inferior when in reality the years we've posted 99-03/04 was so filled with quality. (Rather than generic melodies with no feeling or random stupid vocal tracks...) |
