He's stating 1988 in regards to the biggest year for EDM as a whole though. Hard to argue against as this stuff wasn't created in 1999 or anywhere thereafter regardless of when you enjoyed choonage releases the most. It's all opinions at the end of the day...

Jungle? Nah. But Drum n Bass has definitely been moving in that direction over the past couple years.
