I'm always up for a good challenge, so I gave this a go. Decent enough deep techno effort, and while there are a couple of nice builds, much of it just plods along - the anti-climax, as my friend Malcolm likes to call it.
As far as this being a cutting-edge, groundbreaking mix...not so much.
Adam420
I definitely would not call this deep techno.
junknown
but no one has mentioned the mixes. i thought u blokes were djs? ur talking about climatic , like u just got into this scene. listen to 'higher state of consciousness' if u want a silly climatic track.
let me help u out:
tracks 7 and 8 are ur first "climatic" peak (if u will) and then i would definitely say track 11 tonar is ur rebound peak. finishing off with the finally the newly released crusher "auf und ab und kinda high" (dustin zahn remix)track 15 followed by the outro groove track "diode ladder"
by the production great jesper dahlback
but im guessing u djs arent into actual transitions. man, i guess dave seaman is right, "theres djs and then theres diggers"
Stu Cox
Reasonable mix.
ing awful thread.
Diggers isn't just valued because of how good a DJ he is now, he's valued because he's been there for 20 years. Don't compare yourself with someone like that until you've got the track record.
If you're going to give a quote which moves Heaven and Earth, tell us who the quote was by, otherwise we'll just assume it was one of your relatives.
Don't pretend to be some unbiased party by talking in the 3rd person when you're blatently 'junksciencc' yourself.
Your Facebook page is ing ridiculous:
quote:
We may not know his real name or where he has come from or even if he is a he
What a load of pretentious e... of course the person who decided to make this bellend a Facebook page knows who he is. In fact I'm 99% sure he sees him in the mirror every morning. If you really want to be mysterious, just don't give a lot of information then let the 'fans' create the mystery with gossip and hearsay - don't try and point out how mysterious you're being, it just looks ridiculous.
And, believe it or not, I say all of this in the hope that you'll take it as constructive criticism.
junknown
oh, and let me remind u this is 'techno' not progressive house or trance. i pretty sure ur not goin to find many tru techno tracks that open up completely. thats the whole point of techno. man, what msg board am i on.
sorry, if im being a smart ass but "djs" are a bunch of haters, i guess.

No, there are LOADS of DJs I respect and absolutely love listening to, some famous, some still trying to get there. The same is probably true of everyone else who's posted in this thread.
What we're saying is simple: just try not to sound like a cock.

you're a joke, kill yourself.
junknown
im pretty sure the quote was referring to his style of mixing not his reputation of mixing.
and in the man's defense, i put the page up for him. i also wrote the bio. i think its kinda cool and different that he wants to remain anonymous since being shot in the head 2 yrs ago. besides i think we have enough tom dick and harry djs.
as for the mix. show me another set mixed and programmed this well and ill believe u may kno what ur talkin about

Looks like someone tried to do it for him:

its all about taste. Im sure there are hundreds(perhaps thousands, or millions) of sets id listen to before this one.
This for example, by a totally unknown dj from japan:
