you are talking about those kind of transitions that feel as though the tracks were made for each other. i get you.

LOLing pretty hard at this whole thread.

Junknown, why can't you just accept that other people here don't find this music to be as amazing as you do? Everyone has different tastes and preferences, surely you can understand that?
pozz
you want studio mixes, right?

Oh man, this thread went critical while I was away.

Okay, let's just stick with the OP for now...

1. Techno finally gets a Digweed-quality DJ? You're claiming that in the last 30 years there hasn't been a techno DJ as good as John Digweed?

2. These aren't mix compilations. Comparing podcasts and free mixes with commercially released CDs is pretty ing pretentious in itself, especially as it implies you've heard every podcast and web mix in the last decade and this is better than all of them.

3. "Without doubt the best mix compilation since Sasha's Involver series and The Renaissance Master's Series by Dave Seaman"? Real ing modest.

4. "Sasha's Involver series and The Renaissance Master's Series by Dave Seaman..." Yes, those undisputed best mixes of the last decade. Nobody in any genre, especially techno, has topped the middling prog sets of Dave Seaman.

5. Digweed, Sasha, Dave Seaman... you're clearly a prog fanboy who's recently moved onto techno, which makes your patronising questions about whether other people know anything about techno sound even more ing stupid than they are already.

6. Who the said that quote, anyway? Who is "we" and why should we give a about their opinion?

7. As the rest of the thread had made abundantly clear, you're a complete cretin.

so, for the july '11 set. don't expect a medal or anything.

i like the first track a lot. pitch changes are kinda obvious. some not-entirely pleasant thickness during transitions. no obvious sense of tension & release past the 20min, apart from waiting for the next build-up, which is not the same thing. track selection makes sense. flow is functional.

if it was ripped from a 90min set, it would explain why it did not progress that much (what you call an "arch", i think) from first to last track.

all in all, this one was well done; 7.5/10

so, what are your favorite mixes? (apart from releases like proggy releases like GU -- assume i've heard those.)
A.B
Jon......is that you???

This role playing has to stop mate, seriously!
