Do you know why you say this? NO? Well I do, U'r just a n00b to trance and read some around on the forums, you picked some bad things up about Tieto and Oakey and by writing it here U think you got respect LOL, u'r really wrong here.
Saying this clarifies that your musical (trance) background isn't that big, else u wont say this.
I bet U didnt even listened to Oakenfold at Dance Department and Godskitchen Global Gathering.
But anyway, let the n00b speak, let's bow for him!! |
cool, good 4 u! :D
learn to respect other ppls opinion and then we talk.. actually i dont wanna talk to u but oh well! |

| Sure, I dislike Bunkka as it's just not the kind of music I find appealing. However, that doesn't mean that Oakey is a "sell out to house". I still respect the guy. |

Come on guys. Please don't diss Oakenfold and Tiesto. They have done so much for our electronic music generation. It shouldn't matter what they play now. If you don't like the music they're playing now, then all I can say is sorry.
Oakenfold's recent New Year's performance in Los Angeles was great. The first song he played for 2002 was U2, Where The Streets Have No Name. It's not trance, but it's a great track. It was in honor of the Sept. 11 incident. Oakenfold has heart. So just chill guys. |

in my opinion,
I like live sets over albums from any dj. I've seen Carl Cox when he was touring for his global album and his set was just too much for me. However, I saw him for Area 2 and he was tweaking my melon for 2 hours.
Albums are what dj's release because that is what they like and how they want to hear it. BUT get them in front of a crowd and they play to the crowd.
dj's are like bands. They have the right to play what they want and have the right to change their tastes. I look back at what i listened to 15 years ago (ice t , eazy e, metallica etc) and cant believe I liked it enough to buy the albums.
so i don't think okey sold out. he is just trying something new. |

To he or she who says that Oakie sucks...
I just say poor Oakie, he has been on the top, loved by everyone! He has developed the international club scene by being one of the top10 DJ/Producers and this is what he gets in return? You should all be ahsamed if you say that he sucks etc. Are you willing to say that to PvD the day he falls down from the top? :conf:
Traitors! :whip:
(By the way, Oakie isn't falling down from the top, you get my point.) |

| To say oakie dold out to house is fooking ridiculous...he's been spinning house for a lot longer than he's been spinning trance...if anything he sold out to trance :stongue: |

Except that when he went to trance it was miles from the mainstream, so he can't really be accused of having sold out there either, but I see your point. Basically, Oakey tends to move AWAY from the mainstream, rather than towards it, so cannot be accused of selling out. |
