I agree, Eco deserved a place there, also Mike as home talents. It wasn't really represented as well in trance genre, Tyas was the only from our home.
Tyas has been living in europe for 10 years now. Moby, otoh... :)

I'm sure the way made books has nothing to do with 'deserving'

no offense to anyone who likes that sound, but imo that's exactly what is giving trance a bad name besides the corney vocal tracks
that track has sooo many non trance elements in it plus now it has that high synth melody (euro dance via 1995) sound ughhh
people still label it as a trance track which really grinds my gears
for anyone who went in there expecting armin to play a full on trance set and got hurt cause he didnt and i say this all the time but where have you been the last 3 years???
guy's sound is not the same, stop paying his fee's and seeing him cause you feel "oh iam gonna give him one more chance" blah blah blah
hes not coming back people move the on ha ha ha
sorry for going off but it just pisses me off so much seeing and knowing how armin and other trance guys used to keep the scene alive and growing with good music only to turn their backs on it and play dog /preditable sets
as for the festival as a whole i wont get into it with people who said it sucked but at the sametime were sitting at home listening to sets
the festival imo was top notch i payed 160 bucks for the early bird and i felt it was worth it, easy access,no lines, solid solid solid bookings, good food, lots of friends etc etc
people i spoke to who been to ultra and other festivals said ezoo was probly one of the best organized and well put festivals they been to
what i would like to see next year is def bigger tents, better sound, more trance acts and i dont mean just the top guys...
made brung in a few lesser known techno guys over the years to sunday school as well as all these dubstep guys so i feel they should take a chance and give some more lesser known trance act's a chance like this year they booked simon, sean, mat zo. so yea it would be a real treat to see guys like:
j00f
chris lawrence
airwave
ferry tayle
temple one

Short review: Good times. Very well organized and good job on flooring the tents and therefore reducing the dust to almost zero. The food choices were amazing. The shrimp teriyaki balls were absolutely delicious. I liked that the Sunday School tent was bigger but the decor seemed cheap. Last year felt more intimate but was also the most dusty tent. Overall, a great event but I still can't justify the admission cost.
Also, placing Digweed on the mainstage between Sander van Doorn and Above & Beyond was just stupid. He had a great set but the vibe on the mainstage was just not working for me.
I know it's probably late to say this but my friend purchased a 3 day pass off Craigslist a day before the event and it turned out to be fake. He even compared it to my wristband and seemed legit. When he came to the gate, it wouldn't ring. The crazy part was that as he was leaving, he found the kid standing with his group of friends and the Zoo and my friend reported him to the police. They made him give my friend his money back.
My favorite performers: Chris Liebing and Nicolas Jaar.
