no offense to anyone who likes that sound, but imo that's exactly what is giving trance a bad name besides the corney vocal tracks
that track has sooo many non trance elements in it plus now it has that high synth melody (euro dance via 1995) sound ughhh
people still label it as a trance track which really grinds my gears
dirty south played an arty track. not sure which one but it's a big proof that so many artists labeled as trance doesn't even produce trance.

That Depeche mode remix is hot.
I walked into hilltop when that was on and started going nuts.
BTW, I see jean michel jarre influence in this... or maybe its just me.
Yes, JMJ, the old school electronic music...

"Interesting" review from the NY Times. LOL @ their description of trance music being exactly what we heard from many "trance DJ's" this weekend.....eek!
Anyways, props to Ferry and Sander for getting positive reviews....good to see the usual "harsh critics" of major newspapers speaking positively about someone else besides Guetta or Armin.

1000000% Carl Cox. NO comparison for me. Total destruction, mastery, and one of the best sets I have heard in years. :D :D :D
I have a hard time picking between Ferry, Sander and Tyas/Patterson for my fav trance set, because I loved them all equally for totally different reasons.
