I think until almost 4:45, I was pretty impressed he stuck it out longer

This pic says it all
Every room was slammed. So much energy in the entire complex.
The thing about that crowd was it was still that packed and going that crazy at 5:30.

Yeah, both Armin and Angello went over their timeslots by about 45 mins.

Had an awesome time albeit I felt really out of place in the Kool Haus. Can't relate to the new batch of younger generation partiers :nervous: Armin started off decently... bunch of tunes from the recent release of Universal Religion.. lots of electro influenced tunes.. wanted to puke. He picked it up nicely and his last hour and a half was bliss. What a show! Tune of the night was Orjan Nilsen - Between The Rays <3

You felt out of place in the Kool Haus?! I wasn't sure if things had changed or I was transported back to the 80s when I went into the Guv mainroom. :p
His set was way better this time than back at Freedom in May. First 45 were top notch, got the energy of the room up. Second 45 or so he slowed it down way too much for me and I started to get bored. From then on though, as you said, it was pure bliss.
And I totally agree, highlight was Between The Rays. Hearing that in the Kool Haus and then hearing Angello drop Around The World made the night perfect.

My videos of the night.
I was highly impressed by Matteo DiMarr. Fist time seeing him live. I've heard a few of his productions & he' always solid, but his set was BOOM!!!
This was when AN21 & Max Vangeli played a remix of Adele's - Someone Like You. The cut the music for a bit & the crowd started singing the lyrics. I love it when a dj does something like that. Crowd participation is always a nice moment.
Jochen Miller was amazing!! He started off nicely, but by the time he ended he had set the tone for Armin perfectly. Great set & vibe all around by Jochen. Also, got some good crowd shots here. You can see how slammed the Koolhaus got.
Now by this time, the crowd knew that Steve Angello was about to come on & was going bezerk in the mainroom. All the videos clips in this video show how retarded the vibe was in the mainroom once Steve Angello finally got on. LOCO!!
..and last but definitely not least, Armin van Buuren. What can be said about the #1 DJ in the world that hasn't already been said before? He brought his A game (as always) & proceeded to destroy the Koolhaus. However, there is one video clip (#3) where towards the end of it (5:40min mark), he appears to get hit near his eye by a flying object that someone had thrown. I stopped recording to see what it was. I'd like to take this time to kindly say to everyone who might even consider throwing an object towards a dj while he's spinning. PLEASE DON'T. You could seriously injure them & ruin everyone's night if they have to leave due to an eye injury.

^^^wow, I never caught that during the set. If someone did that intentionally, that really pisses me off. I hope that, as I think it might look, that someone accidentally lost control of a glow stick or something in which case it was just an accident.

The vibe in KoolHaus was great. They opened up the doors near the back to let fresh air in. This was one of the better Armin sets I've heard over the past 3 - 4 years. A few too many Jesus poses though :). His encore however was craptacular but I'm biased because I am not a fan of that song.
Despite all that I'd say the best part of the night was still Mark Oliver. Armin would bring the beats but they'd not last long enough before we got to the breakdown. Mark Oliver however, well it is Mark Oliver and boy does he know what he's doing. KH got empty, lots of space and MO brought the beats. I think everyone in there was dancing straight for a solid 20 min at least before he slowly switched things to more uplifting tracks.
Overall I'd say it was one of the better all access events I've attended at Guvvy in a long time.
'till Halloween :)

I totally felt out of place but I managed to find a place in the back and dance until 4am. Had to leave early to drive to Chatham for gobble gobble dinner with the in laws. I loved hearing Leon Bolier - Vengeance Vengeance and some tracks remixed like Southern Sun, Personal Jesus and beautiful things. I felt weird where I was dancing cause I was the only one sober - no drugs or alcohol only red bull. :)
Still fun and once PhD is done then can go out again :)

really fun night, i'm not a huge armin fan but his set was good... few electro-ey drops and one almost-dubstep moment, but he made up for it with some classics. walked into the main room for about 10 seconds after he finished and then quickly went back for MO, haha.
crowd was definitely young and didn't recognize a lot of the old tracks but what can you do. the room was packed but not uncomfortable; i much prefer kh for dancing space and it was pretty cool when they opened the garage door at the back. went to stand over there and it was actually behind a booth, pretty cool.
looking forward to halloween to round out the month, then maybe a bit of a guv break until the new year
