every game I have been to this year has more empty seats than I've seen since the90's even if they announce a sell out...Martin is on borrowed time.
how is cammy not gay? don't you see how much he sucks?:p |

it isn't hard to do... the thing is, even with Markov back, we still don't have a shot from the point. Bergeron is doing great in Tampa:p
At the risk of being redundant , this team is badly managed from scouting up. |
I'm very shocked that you say that. Subban will be our point guy, don't worry about it. He's just going trough a small slump. As for drafting, I'm curious to see Louis Leblanc, and I'm not completely sold on Tinordi either. BUT LET ME TELL YOU that Nathan Beaulieu is going to be a SUPERSTAR in this league. That's the biggest robbery in that draft. And look at Diaz, Weber, I find that they're doing pretty well :).
With Markov healthy, we'll be getting the #1 pp in the league...maybe #2. |

if shots that miss the net by a lot was important, pk would be the best in the league. he has a hard shot but the accuracy of gaston gingras.
he is good, but the secret to our past success is the specialty player with a better shot from the point. souray, Bergeron, wiznewski, streit were all way better than subban at this.
Markov will hopefully help a lot, but we won't be 1 or 2 in the league. That assessment is a bit homer. He can very well be a bust, the fact is we won't know until we see it. Missing a year and a half in your thirties is a big deal. Age might play a factor, combined with dodgy legs from injuries it is quite possible that he has lost a step in an ever increasing speed game.
the Habs have a few good prospects and current wise picks, but the depth we lack, and little things like almost everyone being a right handed shot are big blunders. they haven't really drafted energy players in years and have tended to draft players of the same mold. it hasn't worked.
our season isn't all doom yet, but it could be very soon if everyone keeps sitting on their hands. cammi is playing so floaty and soft that it drives me nuts. |

Let's hope LL has a great first game tonight. He's going to be huge for us in the future. Like a slightly more physical Plekanec with more of a nose for scoring (not that Pleky can't, he's just designated passer).
I like Max's response throughout everything including the Chara incident last year. Agree with him fully and he makes a good point in terms of not knowing when to hit (looked clean to me before head was lowered)

I see where you're @ J and I agree with some points. All defensemen that played with Markov owe him 15% of their salary. If they weren't playing with Markov, they wouldn't of gotten that type of contract. Wisnewski is another story, but I don't think he's anywhere close to be worth 5.5 million for 6 years ( not exactly sure if it's that the contract ). As for Subban, patience is a virtue. He has only played 100 games, and don't forget his slapper vs Chicago 3 games before the season ended, and also game 7. He has an amazing shot, just needs to practice more aim/confidence.
As for depth, I think we're doing very good. Louis Leblanc, Ryan white will be back soon. These two players can make our team that much more interesting. And last but not least, if MONTREAL will send Gomez down to the minors, that's 7.25 million liberated and we can get ourselves something very very interesting with that sum. |

dude they arent gonna send gomez down, i just dont thinks even an option. no one will accept a trade at that price either so face it we either a) buy out or b) accept that hes here until his contract is up
leblanc is warming up to the nhl, i saw a lot of progress between this game an the first but hes still very young. itll take some time for him to develop.
with all the coaches getting fired im sure martin is stressing more and more. but realistically what would a new coach change? would he make gomez increase production? no. can he get markov back? i dunno. will he help price in SO? def not.
i think we need a trade to re invigorate our team. but the question is who would we give up?
im not willing to trade patches, pk or price
so that leaves us with:
plek
cammy
ak
i would trade cammy or andrei, bundle one of them w someone else (white, NOT DD, etc) w a pick and go for something big
just no iginla plz... |

No one will take Cammy for his salary cap, Andrei would be interesting. I don't think that we're in a very big position to trade. We have a couple of big screw ups.
Coaching change will maybe change the intensity of the team. Vs Anahaim it was drop dead boring. No intensity, no nothing. We need to put Gomez to Hamilton. If we don't, the owner and GM are telling us basically no cup or cup aspirations till the contract ends up. That 7.25 million would be great to sign an elite D ( Sutter from Nashville or Bouwmesteer from Calgary ) |
