The purpose of facebook is to be a news feed snob.
What's the point of using a social network whose main feature is 'update your status' if you don't complain about things you don't like?
I don't get this. It's more like, if you don't like to listen to people when they don't like something on facebook,maybe you should ignore them, or maybe you shouldn't have been friends with them in the first place.
If theres one thing more annoying than people complaining on facebook, its the people who complain about the complainers. It takes a special case of high and mighty for that. |

If the majority of your friends use FB to complain, you should get better friends. I don't have that problem after hiding a few from my feed. |

I dunno, I just have a live and let be attitude. I have a few friends whose Facebook updates are ALL baww copypasta ("that girl you just called fat, she was born that way... etc.") and rather than abuse them for it I just hide them from The Feed.
And Facebook is broad enough that you can't narrow it down to a single purpose. For you maybe it's a platform to complain, for me it's attention whoring and staying in touch. |
