| have any of you ever hired a lawyer to get traffic tickets dismissed? has it worked? is it more expensive than just paying the damn ticket? |

| Why weren't you clever enough to talk your way out the ticket in the first place? |

You should have been able to talk your way through it, if it was a man. After I saw that picture of you, I was so stricken by your beauty I could not sleep for three nights.
Consulting a lawyer is pretty expensive, so unless you have several, don't think it's worth it. |

| nah he was a motorcycle cop. they are generally the worst. like...he wrote me a ticket for speeding and then another one for failing to update my license address when i moved less than 3 months ago. it should be cheaper to get the lawyer to try and dismiss it. the ticket is over $400... |

Yeah, or maybe the judge will look at the fact that you were both speeding, and you failed to update your address per state laws. Then you get to pay the $400 + lawyer fees.
Just pay the ticket. |

well i know the address part can get dismissed because i updated it the same day. the cop told me that would be easy to get dismissed if i just updated it before i appeared. so that's $115 that i can for sure get rid of...
but $290 for the speeding part is what i'm trying to avoid. i could take defensive driving but i'd still have to pay. |

| So in the end, maybe you save yourself $100. I guess you could buy like 4 more couches with that money. :p |

lol! i could suck it up and pay the $300+ for defensive driving and the ticket... but i really don't want to. my bro said he usually paid like $75 in attorney's fees for this kinda stuff. |

technically yes. i was in a 60 zone, and i sped up to pass the car in front of me. as soon as i passed them, i slowed back down to about 65. then i noticed the cop turning on his lights. had to wait a good 20 seconds for me to pass him (now going the speed limit) before he could pull me over. he clocked me at 81 when i was passing the car in front of me. |

just pay the ticket slylee...do the crime, do the time.
you could always try defending yourself by using the John Cena defense. Just go up to the judge, wave your hand in front of your face and say, "you can't see me!" really loudly until he declares you insane. profit. |
