| Just got home. Holy mother of techno. That was complete madness. Liebing and Speedy J absolutely destroyed that place. I was not a fan of Black Asteroid at all. he just kept saying his name and stopping songs. Not even mixing lol. It would have been nice if the venue had speakers in the back. You couldn't even feel the bass back there at all. Stayed till the end like a trooper. |

extremely high expectations were surpassed, that's all I can say about last night!
since somebody mentioned it, I've noticed that most, if not all, blkmarket parties don't have back speakers and hopefully they can resolve that issue for their upcoming parties bc it sucks balls the minimal sound the backroom gets.
either way, thx blkmarket for an epic night! |

Yeah, could have used some more sound in the back. Luckily I had my earplugs so I stayed close to the front speakers. Plenty of bass without destroying my ears.
Chris + Speedy were fantastic, as expected. Speedy really took it for me, relentless. Great party. Slept 4 hours, time for Seth. |

So so so good. Proper techno the whole night. Speedy and Chris destroyed as expected. Chris' first 90 minutes was a ing assault. Bombs on top of bombs. Really thought Alexi Delano's set was good too.
Recovered and ready for Gary Beck. Talk about bombs.... |

WOW. What an amazing night. Awesome to see so many TAs out :D And finally got to meet Taurus. Now I know he actually exists, lol.
Alexi kinda bored me the last couple of times I heard him play, so he surprised me when he came on with a lot of energy, great set.
Heard Speedy wasn't making it cos he had an injury of some sort and that it was pretty bad, was a nice surprise to see him show up later on, he rocked it! CL is never disappointing though, I danced all night and my legs still hurt.
I loved what they did at the entrance having two doorways open, one for will call and one for walkups. There was no line when I got there @ 12.30 (same time I got to Sven Vath, and some of my friends took over an hour to get in). Everyone was so efficient (except for the bartenders, sometimes I think HB makes it their purpose to hire the worst bartenders in NYC, there's always at least one who has the potential to ruin my night).
Got a chance to talk to Chris after the party ended (thx for the encouragement, Lounger, haha), such a sweet and humble guy, he really listens to what people say to him, always smiling. More DJs should drop the bull and be more like him.
+1 on the sound though, it was lacking in the back of the room. Stayed at the front most of the night. Other than that, great job, Taimur, Fahad, Memo and team :D |
