He (DT) mentioned on Facebook that doors open at 12:00AM and that he starts at 12:01AM (so I guess there's no warm up DJ). He also said not to expect a marathon set.
Danny Tenaglia, DJ " Please do not ASSUME that this will BE some kind of "15 hour marathon" !!! . . . People often place this pressure upon me and it's never my intention to play for much more than 8 hours or to beat some previous scenario of how many hours we...re played last year or 5 years ago. I like to always start the night, esp when I am at such a venue as Stereo as this is the best way for any DJ to take you on a journey with them. Doors open at midnight and the party starts at 12:01AM!!! I know it's a different situation when it comes to Stereo and it's always hard to stop there because the people are still there and I too am having a great time playing for everyone on that system!! However, please do not have expectations of it being a very very late night after hour party and please try to come as early as possible. This is a Thursday night event (post B&B) and we are not approaching this as if it were a Saturday night / Sunday morning / afternoon affair!! Really sucks that I head to leave @ 4 am :( . The place was really banging. There was plenty of people but also plenty of room to dance. I'd say Stere was full to 70-75% of it's capacity?
It was the first time that I've seen DT and he really knows how to put on a show. From his little speeches, to perfect mixing and amazing choon selection. This guy is truly in a class of his own. He was playing some very very dirty dark tech tracks trough out the 3 hours that I was there. ( I'm not too sure, but I've never heard a dj push the sound system like that, it was very very loud).
Overall : AMAZING night for the few hours that I was there. |
