The BPM Festival, Mexico’s biggest dance music festival, celebrates its blow-out 5th anniversary in Playa del Carmen on the Riviera Maya from December 30, 2011 to January 8, 2012. With a record-breaking 25,000 attendees in 2011, The BPM Festival 2012 promises to be even bigger and better, with a stellar artist lineup and lots of surprises in store for the fifth year of this world-class electronic music event.
In just a few short years, the BPM Festival has grown from an elite industry networking event into an international mélange of electronic music lovers, DJs, producers, revelers and partygoers — and it just keeps getting better. It’s no coincidence that BPM Festival 2012 coincides with the end of the Mayan calendar, a time to celebrate change and usher in a new era. Come celebrate with us!

| Amazing how the BPM has grown to this potential. Good work to that crew. I plan on attending this year but have to put the finances in place first ;) |

Question for people who have been, what would you say the lower and upper ends of a budget for doing this trip should be?
Ridiculous lineup for a phase one... |

Hi guyyyssss :gsmile:
where and how do I get individual tix for gigs? I guess that is the way to go, not the wristband route. |

You can go really low or you could live a little more comfortably. We spent around $2000 each for a good all inclusive resort (Riu Yucatan) and the wristbands. More was spent on tours but that had nothing to do with the festival.
I like the wristband route better for the simple reason that it gave us the flexibility to come and go to parties as we pleased. It was great knowing that if either of us were tired or not digging the vibe...we could just walk right out and either come back after some rest or go to another party that likely will be occurring at the same time.
That flexibility really made our week last year. Open bar at the all inclusive resort was helpful for pre-drinking and post-drinking in some cases :) because booze at the events does add up.
Amazing festival...we had such a blast. Would have gone back this year if not for a wedding and condo to pay for next year. We will be back in 2013 hopefully.
My favourite party last year had to be Marco Carola & Loco Dice B2B @ Blue Parrot...absolute mayhem |
