Simple, play a bunch of dull progtrance and bore the crap out of them. |

these are words usually used to describe cheesey, weak trance music.
so the "unicorn slayer" is a gimmick and a play on that mentality. the anti-cheese if you will. |

I think there was a moment last year where people said he was playing "Rainbows & Unicorns"" -- then that Where Trance Went Wrong video came out.
From there Markus started making fun of it and said THIS and just started going balls out, prob starting on NYE last year in SF where this whole different twisted side of him came out and he just kept it up in all of 2011. He started slaying those Unicorns; why he was the best trance DJ in 2011. He best year in a long time.
BTW, considering the HUGE shift with the polls this year, him being able to stay in the top 10 is saying something. And he didn't have to do any type of selling out stay in the top 10. |

| I continue to be confused by markus saying that hes a unicorn slayer when hes one of the biggest unicorn djs out there. does he think that if calls himself that then people wont notice the music hes playing? |
