Do I personally like him? Um, no. But he has 24 MILLION fans on facebook. The #2 dj in the world...Armin...has less than 4 million. David Guetta is, by far, the most recognizable name in dance music right now...its not even close. No one is saying he is the best, and that he is a better dj than say, Armin, or Sasha, or whoever. He is merely more POPULAR. Why is that such a big deal?

The fact that Guetta is getting such hate is just ridiculous. Just because you and I dont like him, doesnt mean you can deny his popularity. Lets face it, he reaches a broader audience of people...why? Because thats what the BROADER AUDIENCE LIKES. No one gives a if you voted for Simon or Digweed or Vath, because in reality, 75% of the voters on this poll have no idea who those guys are. That doesnt make them SUCK, it just makes them less commercial.
It also makes this poll irrelevant to most "educated" music fans.

On the flip side though, there are a lot of great artists that have stayed true to putting out and / or spinning good music. A part of me has a fear that they need to get some recognition for this work or they might sell out, as many have recently *cough* Garraud *couch* Emery *cough* Sander *cough*
