i've seen some of the films you guys are posting. will report back asap.

never liked Charlie Kaufman films.

and Lars von Trier won't rest until he has torn your heart into pieces. Dogville and that movie with Bjork have left me with deep wounds.

Meat, i've heard of about half of those films, seen mebbe a third. some of them reduced my brain to silly putty,

(1985) Angel's Egg
(1987) Robot Carnival (i think sharing some of the same guys that did Neo Tokyo)
(1995) Magnetic Rose (another series of shorts)
(1995) Ghost in the Shell (common, but everyone should see it if you haven't)
(1998) 1001 Nights
(2004) Dead Leaves ---------------this ed up number should be a c0r requirement
(2004) Mind Game
(2005) Nekojiru-Sou (Cat Soup)
(2007) Genius Party (another series of shorts)
(2008) Genius Party Beyond (another series of shorts)

i just remembered:

(1924) Sherlock Jr.
(1966) Айболит-66 (for russians, prolly won't make sense to anyone else)
(1988) Time of the Gypsies
(1990) 'Town Zero' or 'City Zero' (Город Зеро)
(1993) Wittgenstein (funny documentary)
(1999) Eyes Wide Shut
(2000) Memento
(2003) Jam Films (some of the films in this series of shorts)
(2009) Bronson
(2010) Incendies
(2011) The Tree of Life

these last two i only liked the first 20min or so, then they became too plot-driven. still worth a look.

from Andrei Tarkovsky:
(1972) Solaris
(1975) Mirror
(1979) Stalker
(1983) Nostalghia
(1986) Sacrifice (Offret)

Pretty much all of these pertain to bad trips.

Just seeing Jacob's Ladder mentioned makes me think of that guy in the chair with his head whipping around super fast.

Freaks me right the out :nervous:

nah, but i've heard Michael Stearns composed the soundtrack. is it worth watching? in the ambient community people drool over that one.

No, Baraka is not worth watching. It's just one of the most amazing pieces of cinema ever made.

It's not a bad trip like view. It's rather a beautiful view to watch. I would say worth a YouTube check for sure.
