I think you're thinking about Psy-T's post in the Movie Recommendations thread.
See, Psy-T goes my Melanie these days, that's just how it is. |

It's not a bad trip like view. It's rather a beautiful view to watch. I would say worth a YouTube check for sure. |
F U for suggesting someone watch Baraka on Youtube.
It's out of Blu-Ray, and very much worth seeking out.

I said it was worth a YouTube 'check' so that he can see if it was worth a watch for him. That's all. |

Watch Mushishi
also, it doesn't really sound like you are looking for trippy movies so much as you are for surreal and rather bizarre (and often disconnected) films.
Edit: definitely watch Paprika as well
oh and Memories |

I think THE WALL qualifies too
So does Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
And if by trippy, you mean ed up... Then another vote for Irreversible and Oldboy |

Fair enough. I get a little passionate sometimes about things I care about, and it gets me a little fired up. |

Yep. Directed by Tarsem Singh, who has another movie coming out next month called Immortals. Has a kind of '300' look about it, but hopefully will have more substance. |

err.. not sure what you mean, or where the difference even lies. Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas is at least as surreal & bizarre as a lot of the ones i recommended. |
