the comments on his set are subjective to each person.

the reality of things is a lot of people that night were either there because they know ricardo and what he does and a lot of people were there because of the hype behind the party.

i can almost guarentee that the next time he comes this will be filtered out and different this his first appearance in a proper after hours setting. if you know what he plays and produces this was no surprise.

in my honest opinion ricardo played one of the best sets i have heard him play in a while.

Funny thing is, I've listened to 5-6 sets of his that he played in ibiza this summer and in Germany and it sounded nothing like what he played @ Stereo. At Stereo it was much more entertaining i found. Went trough some many different genras, amazing build ups, amazing drops, controlled the volume properly so my head doesn't get exhausted after 3 hours. He showed that he was a world class dj.
PS. I'm not too sure, but his mixing skills were a bit off at some points. My friend recorded a couple of his screw-ups :s.

I guess you're right Maher. I didn't really go with a lot of knowledge on Ricardo's music. I bet the people who knew beforehand what sort of music he played were better prepared. Either way, like I said, I still had a great time. How can you not at Stereo?

I went exactly like you, I think I was just expecting to much, it probably came with the hype, but nonetheless I enjoyed the music however if I heard the music now i'd probably enjoy you it like a 100 times more :P.

In sum, half said set was firm, other half saggy.

If you guys hear lee burridge or Danny T on stereo's system see the difference compared to ricardo's! The sound is completely different!

are you talking in terms of sound quality or in volume?

I'd bet it was more a case of whipping than choking :whip:

Sound volume, not quality.
