My Radio [House music all night long]

Time for another mammoth.

Since the last few mixes I put up here were quite left-of-centre and trying to push the envelope, so to speak, I will not be doing anything of the sort this time around. This mix is simply my musical idea of a tremendous night out, with some new stuff, some oldish stuff, some very old stuff, some big tunes you already know and some underrated gems you probably don't know. The mix is also a bit of a throwback to when radio shows with dance music were not available everywhere and at any time, where shows like Colin Dale's Outer Limits and Steve Mason's Experience pumped out several hours worth of musical journeys on a regular basis.

Since I went out on a limb and recorded such a mammoth, I don't expect anyone to have neither the time nor the patience to listen to one set for five or six hours in one go. Thus, I've split the set into two parts for your listening convenience.

Play loud as , preferably before going out.

Really? Whenever I look at the tracklists for my more dancefloor-related sets, I always feel that there's actually not enough obscure stuff in them, and that everyone knows way too many of the artists already.

I guess it's good to see that those who listen to my sets feel otherwise.

I meant your sets in general, as well as this one. Mainly, I like tracklists to take notes on labels and artists whose back catalogues I haven't really dug into, and your stuff is definitely obscure enough for me in most cases.

oh es! That is one long tracklist you've got there.

Heh, I seem to be incapable of making short sets and/or short tracklists for TA, unless I am forced to do so by some sort of rule, like the genre challenge. I think I just get too caught up and hellbent on creating a journey, which you can't do that well in an hour or less.

Would like to hear this, but I've got no idea when I could listen to six (or even three hours) of music in one sitting and be able to pay any attention to it. I'm doing some travelling on Saturday and might be able to get the first half in, if I can fix my MP3 player in time.
