Sure, but imo I don't think they are the same person. |

OMFG there is a difference between a 300 people party and 15,000 people party. your own list kills your entire argument. what are you smoking? |
Tranceforeva brought up Kaskade, Avicii, SHM - maybe thats the list you are referring to? I wasn't talking about that.
I compared a progressive house party at Cielo to a trance party at Highline - roughly the same crowd size I think? And I believe my assessment of the differences in the crowd is accurate, at least in my opinion and own experience.
And to the other guys point, I don't really meet s at either parties. Just Pacha. But perhaps our idea of an are different. |

ya you must be right, i assume he was referring to my list. anyways, the kaskade shows im referring to were both around 2000 people(one was halloween at roseland) and i'm comparing that, in ny, to ferry, a&b, and pvd shows i've seen at best buy and terminal 5 which hold i think about the same amount of people |

We're not. I'm Seth - some of you know me and have met me.. and those of you I've met, I consider new friends. I may be new but I'm happy to be here... and believe me I have better things to do than troll a message board.
Anyways, I'm a little confused now to who's yelling at who, and I made my comments a bit out of place when another point was blowing up. I'll get out of the way. |

highline could be much higher since most of the people are outside the door or in the coatcheck line anyway *cough*.. Or raiding croutons.
Im still lolling at that!
so we are discussing whether
a) there are is a higher guy to girl ratio at trance parties and
b) whether people on average are better looking at house parties ?
cant comment much.. except i dont go to house parties much, so that helps their average a bit :D
I do see the shirt-off-thing at house parties (the few prog house things i went to anyway.. but maybe its a pacha thing..) and that is actually kind of annoying. not sure if thats genre specific, but its just a bit too much jersey shore for me :/
edit to fix typo and suggest :
dont bitch without a pitch.. bring more girls to trance parties and give out some fashion tips XD. Be part of the solution! |

HATE the shirt off move, happens plenty at trance shows and it always makes me shift spots

this is the kind of response I was looking for. there have definitely been times where our group has not been kind to the ratio :)
fashion tips is something I can't do, I usually go headband and something neon(euphoria, shocked huh?) |

We are also discussing who the bigger s are.
Just assume everyone is an and you'll never be disappointed.
(Just to give one reason how the crowds may seem different)
I doll up when I go to Cielo, because that's just the kind of venue it is. It doesn't really matter what kind of music is playing (though they happen to have more house parties there). I really don't give a when I go to Highline or Roseland or whatever because they're not "nice" venues and it would look out of place with the rest of the crowd. I am hideous either way though. |

Really?, you have no idea how many TA's were in that crowd. This is my home, these are my people, and I will defend them till the end of time.

Oh right, I never even said anything about the actual show...
Eco did fine as an opener, but I'd really prefer to see him with a better time slot. He's a talented DJ and deserves to play a better slot.
So I didn't really like Sied van Riel's set. He played some decent tracks, but a lot of it was pop-prog house garbage. I see him going the way of Sander van Doorn sometime soon. Also, does anyone else ING HATE when a DJ smokes cigarettes during their set? It's like a slap in the face to the crowd. "This is how much I care that I'm DJing for you right now." Anyways, I won't judge, because I don't know the guy, but I expected a bit better.
Fila ing tore the place apart. I didn't stop dancing for his entire set. Driving 140 BPM trance all night. Some great classics... PPK Ressurection? Didn't see that coming at all. He played the Kearny remix of Sandgroper, which is absolutely bangin. Just an all around phenomenal set.
Myon & Shane kicked it off pretty hard too. I actually liked that they dropped it back down to the gritty prog-trance; it seemed to get the crowd back into it, since Fila had ended it off on a more melodic/driving trance vibe. When they shut them off I was ripping pissed because I was really into their set.
Oh, and what the is with the hype-man? Trance shows are not the place for huge black dudes to be screaming into the microphone. In fact, trance shows are not the place for microphones at all. Let the music speak to the crowd. |
