Okay, I like tiesto, but why the hell does he have to kill prog like that. "Prog is a dirty word" [ he spins "James Holden - Nothing" now ] I mean, jesus! He says prog is dirty, yet he hammers "Nothing" when other proggers are spinning it, hes obviously doing it for popularity. hes obviously lost a big amount of respect from me and im sad now, really really sad. i mean im a prog/trance lover too, maybe tiesto is too, but he didnt really have to be a hyprocryte and say that and then play prog. he should really stick to the epic trance he usually plays (the way i liked him)...
(Not trying to be another one of those jerks making fun of tiesto for fun, im just proving a point, and the oppinions i feel) and i dont think he sucks.

meh IMO tiesto is stil king in terms since he release ISOS3...
but set wise he has been a bit e... playing the same songs over and over in different orders :(
moreover some remixes have been quite bad.
let's just hope he won't pull an oakenfold *shudder* |

if you like him you wouldn't start a thread like this about him. tiesto is still, and for a long time will be, great. sure his sets are similar but whatever, you gotta realise it's not the same crowd hes playing for every time!! so just sit back and appreciate the music. tiesto is my fav dj at the moment, and i support him with every move he makes, even if i think its a bad one i wont bash him for it or lose the respect i have for him. change is good. i think adding prog trance along with trance is nice addition because prog trance will kind of chill you out and slowly lead to the climax of the set where he will drop a mindblowing :eyes: trance track, and then slowly bring it down with either more prog, or take it hard to the end with some harder stuff. it's all good. :) |

In listening to Tiesto's newer stuff, I notice alot more progressive influence in his tracks and sets. Just listen to his solo album, In My Memory. He still puts out the trance he's known for but he's also evolving into a different sound. So I have no idea why he would make this comment. |

don't get me wrong i love tiesto's music... but i dunno i guess like it was mentioned that he is evolving in terms of style... and i guess some time is needed for us to get used to it.

Look, i think its time for people to realize that tiesto is starting to be "blah". he remixes are a disgrace, i know what "in my memory" is, i love it, i even have the 4 x12" of it, i love tiesto, but, he is acting weird, and i guess its all about the money now, but im sure he will be loved by me again, he always pulls miracles. dont take this all personal ladies and gentlemen, and i beleive i have every right to express my oppinions. i do love tiesto, and i had the audacity to tell u what is happening to tiesto in my oppinion.
