What I don't understand is they are only charging 75 - 80 euros for Sensation in Spain, Germany or Amsterdam, that converted to US Dollars is roughly $100 with today's exchange rate, Brazil is slightly more at 230 BRL which is roughly $113 US dollars.

How do they justify charging us so much more here???

Short answer - cause they can? We all know it will sell out.

I suppose some things are more costly here - venue + insurance + union-ized staffare probably not cheap. Although, its no picnic in europe either.

Anyone know what the capacity is at barclay? and will the lineup be identical both days or vary a bit like cosmic? prob to early to tell I suppose.

Its 18,000 which is less than half of the european Sensations.

I paid $95 back in 2009 for Sensation in Amsterdam. That's LiveNation for you here.

$170 for this is stupid. Point blank. Big LOL at the 2am closing. Last call is what, 1:30?

i am probably going to be wrong about this but this festival is too late. I believe people willing to drop that kinda of money for the experience, have already done it on all the previous ones. I believe almost everyone has experience a big festival at least once by now. I don't think they can justify to their parents the need for an extra $400 bucks again. : )

i get what you mean, back in 02/03 i thought it was an amazing party when i saw video's of it but yea now between the artist's switching styles and sensation changeing their line-up's i dont really have no desire and especially for that price

iam still a lil shocked it's that high. alot of dj's say america is pretty much a new market for them compared to europe, but i guess with the huge sucess of new festivals id&t feel they can charge this and people will pay it. look at what happened with shm at msg and edc at the meadowlands

moral of the story is it's def not a fair price to people who have been waiting years and years for this festival to come only to get the shaft, but at the same time it's probly gonna be a commercial dance show which none of us will enjoy to the full extent...not going, have fun to anyone that does tho

f*ck, i didnt believe you guys when someone mentioned it was 150-170$ PER DAY (thought it was 2days for that price) :wtf: thats crackhead prices...um no thanks. nothing is worth THAT much for just ONE day. Not even if the production is out of this WORLD...orices seem much lower in markets abroad. Even if it costs more to travel abroad and experience it for real, i think id much rather do that someday.

maybe ill change my mind if the presale ends up cheaper (wishful thinking). for now, i think im just going to save my hard earned cash for Miami/Ultras 15th next yr.

Figured Jay-Z would fit in better since it's his hometown and a minority owner of the Nets...

I can see it now.... Tiesto dropping lethal industry with Jay in the background with "BROOKLYN WE GO HARD!" :eyespop: :eyespop: :eyespop: :eyespop: :eyespop: :eyespop: :eyespop: :eyespop: :eyespop: :eyespop: :eyespop: :eyespop: :eyespop: :eyespop: :eyespop:

Tix on sale btw if you signed up for the club member presale thing.

One thing I don't understand. They seem to be selling only GA standing tix. Are they going to sell tix with actual seats? Or are they just not going to be used?

It's going to be commercial pop house. I'm pretty much done with any big festival in this area.
