Hey, I understand where you are coming from and I completely agree with you. I hate the nowadays garbage sound as much as you do. But the Sensation lineup has always been pretty much mainstream, in the early 2000's the mainstream music was just hell of a lot better.

Honey, wtf are you talking about? Those names from 2001 might be mainstream now, but back in that day the average Joe had no ing clue who the hell Tiesto was. Matter of fact, even in the 2000 trance world Tiesto was pretty unknown except to the ppl who REALLY knew what they were talking about.

Well, i'll take my words back between the years 00-03. You're right on the money there.

And as I grew up in Europe I have to disagree with that average joe statement about Tiesto. His remix of Silence came out in 2000 (and album In My Memory 2001..) and his career skyrocketed after that. But I understand your point nevertheless.

True. I only tried to make a point that Sensation has always booked popular acts (except for 2001). I should have added that the acts were better in the past.

My bad.

Eh... Probably in Europe (which is a region I'm really not an expert on, esp during that particular time when I was more into progressive house and techno up until around 2000-01), but I'd say his Silence remix put him on the map, but not really skyrocketed his career. I'd say his actual breakthrough came with his first album.

He was huge in Europe. In 1999 no standings in the DJ Mag top 100 poll, and in 2000 he was 24th. 2001 6th, 2002 1st and so on.

But I totally understand your point, Tiesto was just a bad example.

That's 2 for 2. Be careful now, soon theres nothing to argue about.

Production has always been good tho. And the only reason to even remotely to think about attending. Which probably wont happen.
