Agreed.

It's a must for me. As a single guy, if it's a sausage fest, I better be hearing the second coming of Jesus Christ through the speakers, or I'm not going to be having a good time, and will likely consider leaving. There are enough places in Toronto that play good music (maybe not dance music) for me to subject myself to sausage parties.
Yes, there are hot girls that go to EDM events, but the ratio is usually pretty uneven, and not in a good way. |

ha you wouldn't be saying this if it was the other way around lol ;)
for me though when i go to edm parties i don't really care how many girls are there, i automatically wire myself into going out to hear good music and have a good time, see friends etc. yes, girls are nice but if there's not so many then i dont really mind. If i want to go find some women ill go to another more commercial venue.
Btw its weird how in MTL the ratio is 50/50 almost every time i've gone to a club there. |

You don't have to go to a more commercial venue to get a more even ratio. It's not like those are the only types of places where women go.
It just seems that this music/scene is more prone to man-parties than others. |

a-ing-men!
half the time I don't even notice how unbalanced the crowd is until someone points it out. I don't go to clubs for the crowd, I go for the music and dj and the friends that I'm with. |

I don't really care who's in the club as long as they're cool/down ass peeps who love the tunes and know how to have a good time. I'm not looking for love and I'll perv on anybody with sex appeal anyway. I win! :p |

Waited over an hour to get in but decided to book it. I started lining up at 12:45 but it was getting too ridiculous. |

Sounds like most people had an alright, but not amazing time. I dunno that lineup wasn't even that long outside but even when people exited they were still being tight on letting people in and on top of it there were tickets or some nonsense you had to had that I didn't even know about... |

Yeah, I was on guestlist but I came late. I expected to wait at most half an hour to get in but that wasn't happening arrgh. I wonder if these bouncers get some sort of ego trip by letting people become ice cubes outside. I didn't think it'd be that bad, I managed to see Danny Howells there and I came extremely late for that, but I waltzed in. I don't think Lee Foss has more popularity than Howells but I guess is recent stock is rising faster than Danny's (let the debate start) |

Then how did YOU get in? You said it yourself how you came late, unless you know the promotors/bouncers or greased them.
Well, they musta had like 10-15 ppl leave the club during the time I was there but they still barely let anyone in in the line, unless it was over capacitated. You'd think that if 10 ppl leave, then 10 can get in but no. But I doubt thaat it was overcapacitated, because some people still managed (getting in front of me somehow) to get in with some ticket nonsense (can anyone explain this?) but I pretty much stopped caring at that point. They just became selective with who gets in and who doesn't when I was there and it was retarded for $30 cover. They still run this place like any other club, and you think they wouldn't because of the music that's being played.
I know you guys all love this club and so do I because of all the DJs they've booked over time and still continue to book, but I'm just sorta frustrated with how they were doing things. I was curious to hear Lee Foss play. I can take solace in the fact that he played an alright set and not some amazing set and that it might have not been worth it anyway due to how rammed it was. Anyway, lesson learned, I'm just venting. Happy to see you guys managed to check him out |

This is London is a bit bigger. Nicer club too. |

Yeah but there's hotter girls that come to TiL regardless of what DJ is playing and isn't that all what matters in some ways?? But I will agree that along with those girls, drunken douchebag guys who aren't in the scene at all usually show up and ruin the vibe. I could care less if the chicks don't even know who's playing, as long as they're there.
I dunno...I like the aesthetics of the venue. It definitely looks very clean and upscale, even if the clientele is not.
Wait...what about Maison? I've only been there before when it was known as something else so I can't comment on how it is now, but in terms of size, I think that's a medium sized venue. |

Judging from these responses, it seems as if you guys would prefer guys at a bar, but what's funny is that when I see reviews of events I do see complaints of people saying that there's being too many guys.
Just be honest with yourselves and don't try to act like you guys are above anything on this forum to fulfill some sort of agenda. It'd be better to combine those 'type' of chicks with the music we listen to, just as long as everyone is dancing and enjoying said music. it's a different story if they're complaining about it and not dancing. |

Truth be told I was hired by Advil to quote these. Why? Read them and there's no doubt you want an Advil after. Marketing 3.0 people. |
