I mean he was making commercial trance. I honestly don't get it. There are artists that made the music they wanted to and did fine. JOOF is not an example. |
Disagree. I was part of a music production community in and around 2000 myself with 1000s of members. Focus was on tracked music though (Impulse tracker, Fast tracker, Buzz, you name it). And even before that, within the tracker community it was common to share source files so you could see how productions were realised and you could learn from that. And that goes back to the 1980's.
Maybe the tracker scene was a bit of an anomaly. I guess it was. |

honestly dude, you could say that about the last century and a half of music. Perhaps you are suffering from some kind of anhedonia. Honestly, if the passion is gone, move on. There is about 300 years of music to explore. Thats what i don't get about people like you or joof. They whine about like that yet know absolutely nothing about anything other than their genre. Ya, any genre sustained past its prime is going to suck and be derivative. | i think you're missing the point and coming from a person who doesn't even make trance or edm anymore you cant really say to much.
making other types of music is really hard to do not every producer can do it and tbf trance is a lot more simple to make compared to techno and breaks. |

| I'd love to share my cents or two with anyone but I'm too busy thinking of my own corporate scheme to blow up the industry. And I want to be the first. Too bad. |

So what you say is, that when a genre is past its prime it will never come anything good from it? If everyone were thinking like that I don't even think trance would have existed. |

hey C U N T, I was sharing. L4C, you can off, you over opinionated .
I'm always high, and you can never spell. Welcome to the TA forums. L4C has the the definitive answer for every thing, and I'm wondering if he should write a guide. Oh then thank GOD, the answer awaits! |

| i don't proof read. Spelling isn't really a priority on this website. And i was referring to the original article which seemed to ooze of PLUR. English is my second language so all things considered, i'm quite a bit more handsome. |

| you are a festering pile of feces, a constantly annoying social critique, an unnecessary and typically delusional asinine elitist offering jaded insight. but i guess until you get run out of the forum again your handle will have enough staying power to wet the cocks of little clueless producers everywhere... |

artificial movements are never pure, they are contrived by nature. So yes. when a genre has been tapped out, it is time to move on to something new. I mean you realize how retarded those guys in mullets with slayer t shirts look right ? Guess what their narrative is ? Metal needs to get back to the roots. It is stupid. You want to go back to your good times, buy a dozen blue dolphins and put on a cd.
The problem is that for some reason , you and others seem to think trance has some sort of time limit where anything outside isn't trance. Genres don't work that way. There is no such thing as pure as every style or genre has come from other genres. So when it the pure trance ? 90 - 2000 ? 2000 - 2010. You see how ridiculous it is.
I think it is sad that people let a ing niche genre define their lives. It really is all the same. |

you really need to get over me dude. Is it a gay thing ? Do you desire me ? IS this about that stupid thread you started about final compression ratio where everyone kinda told you ratio means absolutely nothing. Was that the tipping point ? I mean i can imagine how embarrassing that would be. PRetty much slaps a nice fat noob tattoo on your mug. But everyone kinda had a go at you. Singling me out based on what I can only assume is the way I look aint really fair. |

Do you think everybody except you are retarded or what? Or maybe you just act stupid? I think you know as good as I do, that you have no ing clue on how I am defining genres.
And you are just playing with words, I don't think you actually cares what you writes, you just want to irritate people and destroy a good thread. Thats bad, you seem to have a lot to contribute with under all that negativity. |
