| The only surprise in there for me is seeing The Shamen and The KLF, who I thought would be a bit too much of a distant memory for most clubbers in 2012. |

| RITM were never going to get anywhere near this list. Every act on there has sold millions of records. 90% of Mixmag readers will never have heard of them. |

| RITM needs to be in there, and how Deadmau5 made it above Underworld is beyond me. Ten years from now I will still be pulling out my Underworld records from the 90's I can't say that for Deadmau5 because I do not own any. |

They're talking about dance "acts", not musical content. And tho' he makes quite generic music, deadmau5 does put on a good light show.
Really surprised Above & Beyond made it on there, but none of the other 'trance concert' jocks did. |

| Urgh... the response to these polls is invariably just as ing stupid as the poll itself. "Where is this obscure '90s act I like?" "Why is someone who is extremely popular right now so high up in the list? I personally don't own any of their records!?" Get a ing grip, guys. |

Apart from Deadmau5 somehow getting in there and a lack of Aphex Twin it doesn't seem too far from what i expected.
Thoughts? |
Aphex Twin is at spot 87 as I gave negative votes also ;)
Where's 2Unlimited?
I can move move move any mountain!! Yeah, fun.
Votes... just tens of thousands.. |

RITM is obscure?
ya. sure man, sure.
in terms of mainstream of course -- but the mainstream probably wouldn't be able to attach a sound to even half of those in the top 25. in the terms of a long-running magazine mixmag's memory is to be very short. too short to be interesting. feed the fires and the compost heaps with it. |
