I think I'm over the partying :(

Went to Vegas this weekend to attend a wedding and obviously do a little partying and have to say:

I'm getting old.

Or maybe I'm just getting tired of spending $18/drink at the bar...

who knows.

Pre-Party and have a few before the club. Duhh! :p

i think it's the drinking that you're tired from.

i can relate to it, i can't drink like i used to anymore so i've really cut back. sober or close to sober fun isn't bad because when you're going to sleep you don't feel like crap and you wake up feeling like a champion.

the one over nighter trip i did to vegas with no sleep, i just had a redbull and 2 shots of tequilla, lasted until 8 in the morning.

drinking a lot makes me sick

I love drinking... a little too much actually ;) i also pre-drink and when possible, a little flask in the back pocket :) Still never enough... end up spending a ton at the bar. Also have to consider my wife. That little hoochie can drink a lot too.

Maybe it was seeing Ingroso @ XS that killed it for me. Gross.

Stop watching burning puppies and you will be fine

Change your party routine. But ya, I get what you're saying too...

Go out less, and only go to see actual DJs

I've just come to terms with myself that I can't party like I used to. So I tend to shower up later, and just not feel the need to stay to the very end anymore.

And you know what, since I've done that I've really enjoyed when I've been out a lot more.

Whether it's a a couple hours, or 4-5+ hours, when my body says it's time to go, I just leave. I don't worry about how much I've spent or whatever, because my state-of-mind is more important. I prob even come across as rude to a few, as unless you are right there with me when my body says it's time go I just leave w/o saying goodbye.

BTW, I used to drink a 750ml bottle of vodka before I'd even go out back in the day, and then spend $100+ at the bar of pretty much all well drinks (note: I used to be CRAZY in clubs. Only old schoolers will know what i mean. I had a bdk ankle which I still don't know how I didn't break for a few years and a bad hip for 6+ months thanks to my craziness, lol), on mysel.f. that was Friday and Sat nights, that's not including the $100+ tabs I'd run up on Monday-Thursday at a bar on 2nd Street (I got to know the bartenders so well, I would spend $100 but still only be charged like $12-$15 on my tab...DAMN ENABLERS!)...with the slow down, I am good on a few drinks on any night...

I used to drink A LOT, as you can tell, but somehow rarely had any type of hangover....now if I drink too much after slowing down so much, my body just gets sick...and I'm kind of glad, because I haven't gone overboard in years.

I don't go out as much as I used to. I'm pretty burned out from clubbing & partying that now my one Sat a month that I have off, I rather go out to an Art Walk, the movies, or do something that has nothing to do with clubbing.

This month on my Sat off I went to the Santa Ana artwalk. It may not be the biggest or the best, but it was something different and fun. I ran into old high school friends of mine there and it was awesome hanging out with them. After the show we went to the movies and saw The Devil Inside.

Last month on my Sat off my wife and I took a roadtrip to Mexicali. She had never been there. That was fun as well. We went to an art walk there too. Lots of fun.

I can totally relate to this post. I helped a buddy of mine move a few days ago, and we reminisced about how crazy we used to be when we went out together and how lucky we were to never see the inside of a jail cell or an emergency room.

I think the worst thing about partying so much is that weekends evaporate, quickly. :nervous:
