Yeah, I saw that last night. I think the porn really improved that forum and gave new meaning to hardware vs software debates. |

I've done a fair bit of DIY date recovery in my time - what EXACTLY happens when you try to access it? And what type of drive is it.
Oh, and use it as little as you can when trying to recover it (i.e. don;t keep attempting things/keep it plugged in etc) as this can further the drive. |
I can see the file but it won't load into Cubase anymore, it just looks like it's loading for eternity. I think it's corrupt because I've noticed a fair bit of missing data and weird file names in other folders too. The drive's not been used for several months now. |

Well, aside from locating the folder with the .bak in there, here's a couple of things to try:
1, Copy the file on to a USB thumbdrive, take it to another computer with cubase installed and try to open it.
2, If that doesn't work, temporarily move your VST plugin folder (a bad plug conflict could be causing the issue with the file) then try to open the file. You'll get some error messages, don't locate the VST folder and see if it opens.
3, Try to open the file on a mac with cubase.
Obviously if any of these open the file, save it under a different name to a solid drive.
Let me know how you get on and I'll try to come up with some other tips. |

I like this one. I would almost call it tech-trance. Good kick too. |

I update the mix, is not sounding all that loud at the moment.

Hey. Maybe a little late but I would like to contribute if there's still a spot open and you find my song good enough.
Still a lot of mixing and FX to work with but I will have it ready by week 3.

Thanx. My ears are pretty tired atm, I tried to fix it but I can't think right now so I'll have to wait till my ears and brain are fresh.
Don't know if it's any idea at all to listen right now but I put it up again

Here is the track I submitted. It is not mastered and I left a lot of headroom so it is pretty soft. I'm not overly enthusiastic about it but it is what it is.
It is a refined version of something I put up in the promotional section a week or two ago. |
