People that drain your energy

I don't know if all of you experience these types of people, but for those who do, you know what I'm talking about.
These are the people that may not be bad, or mean spirited, but they just seem to suck the life out of you when you talk to them for more than 5 minutes.
These people are under the impression that everyone around them can't wait to hear about their next thought that passes through their brains, they think everyone wants to hear about what they're doing on the weekend and so on.
These people are vampires. I don't really know the best way to deal with them, so I try to avoid them, though it can be hard when they work in the same building as you.

| I know exactly what you're talking about. I feel really fortunate to have made some great new friends since my return to LA and haven't had to deal with any of those types on a day to day basis |

I know some people like this... negative a lot of the times.
I have one friend who I cannot argue politics with (on any level whatsoever) since he does not take the time to educate himself on the topics (in depth) yet takes a stance of opposition -and- then leaves the onus on me to provide facts to prove my statements... all the while it is ok for him to stick by his opinion with nothing to back it up. Drives me ing mental. |

i'd like to invite you all to my seminar I Don't Give a About You.
i've been joking about this seminar with friends at work for a while now. they get stuck talking to the idiots in the office about all kinds of banal bull, because they're too polite to do anything about it.
to be fair sometimes they get stuck in these conversations because i put them in it, but that's just the negative re-inforcement they really need. |

Ah, the complainers. People who constantly talk about how bad everything is.
The type of people I hide from my FB news feed, basically. Every post is either "My life is horrible, nothing ever goes my way, people are awful, etc." or "OMG I love my boyfriend/girlfriend so much!". |
