In all seriousness yeah it is very gimmicky, but it's not like there's rubbed all over it. Get real. It's not a bomb, it's hyped out the ass, probably played to death in Miami by now, but it's not like the vocals are offensive or the lyrics don't make sense. There's palpable romanticism. And that is a strong mothering bassline.

The track isn't terrible in a musical sense, but it epitomises everything obnoxious and dull about the rooftop-party-dwelling, V-neck-wearing k-haus scene. I find it extremely boring as a dance record and distinctly mediocre as a listening piece, but that's just personal taste.

I'm just not keen on it. The instrumental track itself is passable, and man, this is just my opinion - so by all means, go ahead an enjoy it. Certainly don't let my distaste for something come across as anything more than what it is.
I've played "Mushrooms", I did a mash of "Do you smoke pot?", and get a thorough kick out of playing "Walk & Talk" to a room of people who find it tongue in cheek, so I'm hardly "above" something like this - I just don't enjoy it, and might enjoy it a bit more without the self-referential obnoxiousness alluded to above (by Jack, no less, who I imagine has pretty strong feelings about what I play in general ;))
