| People in the US, how are you pre-ordering your copy? I know you can do it through the Ultimae website but I think It will be more expensive with currency conversion and shipment than ordering it through a US provider. Any help would be appreciated thanks! |

Even with the currency exchange rate and shipping it only turned out to $21.19 for me. Not bad at all for a brand new album, let alone something this good, being shipped from Europe, and that will most likely sell out very quickly. |

| As good as Earth Shine was, I would still put it out there that the two HUVA Network albums are the best Solar Fields/Ultimae albums. |

| My copy arrived through the post yesterday. Still haven't had chance to listen, going to save it for a long walk through the forest later this week. Anyone given it a spin yet? |

Just received my copy, will probably listen as soon as it's done being imported onto my computer.
This was my first hard copy album bought from Ultimae, I had forgotten about the cool stuff they send along, having never received it before. Will definitely buy more stuff from them. |

I'll write up more extensive thoughts in a blog review later, but here are some random observations:
It's quite a different album to Earth Shine. It feels more like a classic Solar Fields journey album but with a throbbing rhythmic core. Earth Shine felt more like a bunch of disconnected tracks and, first four aside, it didn't really have much flow or structure. This is definitely an album to sit back and listen to in one sitting, with a clearly defined progression, not a collection of DJ-friendly pieces like Earth Shine.
Although Magnus has a distinctive style that can't really be pigeonholed, in terms of what to expect this is more "progressive psy" where Earth Shine was more "morning trance". This one is much slower and chunkier. It has a really rich, vibrant production aesthetic throughout, remniscent of Trentemoller in how three dimensional it feels. Completely different from Until We Meet The Sky in almost every way.
Cobalt 2.5 is a remix of HUVA Network - Cobalt (he also did another remix called Cobalt 2.0 earlier this year). Landing Party contains samples from Summer, and could easily be construed as a remix. Perception reminds me of Underworld - Rez a little. |
