las vegas bottle service (pg. 2)

rowdy
I can almost guarantee you with a group of 14 mdw you're looking at least 4000 minimum spend for some where like marquee that plays edm! Everything is sold out come mdw and tables get bumped for a higher bidder, you want to keep that table once inside the club and you've drank all the alki? Ok... keep buying bottles :D

Anyways 14 is a large group, 1 bottle = A little more then 1 shot for each person in that group.

Breaks down bottles/prices

Shot = 10-14 dollars+20% (12-16.8)
Bottle = 450-550+20% (540-660) = 17 shots (16.90 to be exact)

10-14 x 17 = 170-238+20% (204-285)

1 Round of 17 shots
204-285 VS 540-660

6 Rounds of 17 shots (102/14=7.28 shots per person)
1224-1710

6 Bottles
3240-3960 (Notice with 6 bottles I'm still under that 4k range)

1224-1710 VS. 3240-3960

Marquee MDW presale prices
Friday w/ Benny Benassi & Fedde Le Grand: 70(Male)/40(Female)
Saturday w/ Above & Beyond: 60/30
Sunday w/ Armin Van Buuren: 80/40

Total Cost Admission W/ 7.28 shots per person
Friday 70x7 + 40x7= 1994-2480
Saturday 60x7 + 30x7= 1854-2340
Sunday 80x7 + 40x7= 2064-2550

For the above, does the $1500 include tax and tip or bottles only? Would that come down to about $1000 if there is just an average DJ playing (i.e. resident Dj or mid-tier Dj?)

Also, last time my friends went to Vegas they got a day bed at the Rehab party at the Hardrock and it was a 2k minimum spend (it was flexible how it was spent, you could order food, individual drinks/shots, or get bottles which I thought was pretty cool). Is that a similar price/concept for day beds other dayclubs like Encore beach club and Marquee assuming I'd attend on a Sat or Sun?

For what its worth, we will be staying at the Cosmo but from what I;ve read there are no Marquee Dayclub/Nightclub specials or discounts on regular entry for hotel guests...

It all matters how many people are in your group but a rule of thumb is usually 1 bottle per 3 people.

You can ask for a minimum spend instead - say $500 per three people instead of 1 bottle and they'll do that pretty much anywhere anytime... you could do the mix-and-match of shots, bottles and beer that way if you wanted. That's in effect what you did at Rehab...

On a non-holiday weekend I believe you get free entry into Marquee with a separate hotel guest line on fridays. Sat nights you still pay but again i think you get in quicker... Not sure what guests get for the Dayclub.... i'd ask the concierge...

Hmmm.... well for a 'tier 2' club you are still probably looking at $375 - 450 a bottle on average + 30% for tax and tip. And some people recommend tipping your host $100-200 for a group of that size for a better location. So count on $200 a guy to be safe and that's just for 2 bottles.

And remember, a group of 14 people will kill 2 bottles in about 1 hour so realistically your bill will be much higher than just $150-200 per guy

I'm not worried about killing the alcohol too quickly. We will preparty. 2 bottles at that price + tax and tip would be fine with me. Can u recommend a decent tier 2 club?

i'm sure some people would have slightly different opinions but i'd say:

Tier 1: Marquee, XS, Tao, Surrender, Pure, Rain, Tryst

Tier 2/3: Moon, Cathouse, LAX, Rox (Rockbar?), Vanity, Crown

If that Cathouse Groupon deal posted on the prior page is valid over MDW that by far is the best deal you'd get.

I've seen people get bumped from tables if they don't keep the bottles flowing. I'm sure during MDW it's pretty aggressive with that, so if you do get a table, honestly, I'd go into expecting to spend twice of what you think you're going to spend.

labor day weekend encore beach club we did the guy bottle service and had females buy tickets(kaskade, females were ~$50, guys were ~$100)

we got an area at the pool, which was never taken away and we each paid ~$110.(14 guys i think it was) this brought us $1500 in alcohol 14*$110 = ~$1500, which we would have spent at the bar ANYWAY. tickets for guys on day of were $150.

i wasnt in charge of this set up, but from what ive read in this thread it sounds like a complete screw job on the part of vegas clubs to its patrons.

what ever happened to calling a venue, establishing an agreement on a seating location and an amount of bottles at a certain price which will allow for a certain amount of free admissions? then keeping said seating location until at least 2am(standard closing time/last call at most CA venues)

2 years ago July 4th weekend we were at Encore for Kaskade to celebrate a friend proposing to his fiancee the night before... there were about 8 of us (including a few girls) and it was around $1K for us for one of those large loungers-things.

$1500 for 14 guys is a pretty good deal...

to 'lose' a table i've only seen happen at night and you'd still have it for a while.... not like you get the table at 1030 and at 12 you are getting evicted.

Avalon actually used to do that back in the day... if you wanted your table after 230 or so you had to pay extra or tip the VIP host guys!!!!
wackadoo
You all are welcome to come to my pool and I will play music for you all weekend. Bottles will be provided by Costco for super cheap!!

it was technically a group of 8 and then the guy was going to walk the others in as comps. so the 14 was via our friends hook up and not the norm.
one thing that rowdy didnt take into consideration in his detailed assessment(very nice with the math btw) is that if you book bottle service you skip out on paying for the cover AND waiting in line correct?
admissions was taken into consideration, but skipping the line could save a considerable amount of time getting in!
i believe last year armin white party tickets eventually hit $80 for guys, females started at $10 and males started at $35, already at $80, thats crazy.

IMHO

I think bottle service is a scam/waste for the most part.

The markup is so ing high, makes you wonder what you're paying for.

I have been part of TONS of bottle service groups, but not ONCE did I pitch in or pay a dime out of my money. Even on my last few birthdays friends of mine covered the full bill for me, but I never asked for a bottle to being with. They just wanted to impress the bottle rats that were with me, they thought the rats were going to go home with them at the end of the night. lol

Suckers..,

Irony of my rant?

I will be offering bottle service at 2 parties I am hosting.

:D
