las vegas bottle service (pg. 3)

From what has been said so far, it seems for a weekend day bed (non-holiday) at Encore beach club with a big name DJ would run about ~1k for groups of 6-8 guys which isn't bad, especially considering not waiting in line or paying cover. It makes the 2k minimum for day beds at Rehab seem a little high, then again, Rehab thinks its the best party in Vegas so everything is a little inflated there...

I'll definitely look to book a day bed deal at Encore when I go as prices don't seem insane (relatively speaking) and they usually have good DJs playing during the day.

i've been offered deals where you pay X amount of dollars and thats basically what you are entitled to charge at the event the day of.

so for example. $500 for 2 pool chairs, but then that includes 2 of you getting in and $500 at the bar/kitchen.

so lets say cover is $50
cover for 2 is already $100 and then you dont wait in line.

then when a long island is running $18 a piece, after 5 of them, you're at $100. so thats $200 for you and your pal to have 5 of those.
Then you have your 2 friends who bought tickets purchase drinks via your credit and they can buy you a drinks the next night and the night after. the meals are purchased via your credit and there's $500.

that's pretty standard for day parties to have a tab like that... your $ minimum is a minimum F&B (food and beverage) spend. you can do it at nightime as well and order a mixture of bottles/beers/shots if you want...

so why wouldnt people do this if having a decent sized group in order to skip line/cover/waiting at bar/not having a location to sit etc??

i guess im just a cheap bastard who would rather pay $1000 for bottle service, no wait to enter, no wait to get drinks, table to sit at than to pay cover to get into the club, wait in a line to get in the club, spend $1000 at the bar, wait to get bartenders attention each time each person in group goes to the bar, not have a place to sit. etc etc.

a lot of it probably has to do with the fact that table service prices are typically negotiated with hosts and people who are buying tickets at the door don't know the pricing **might** not be too different say for a group of guys.

Also, the #s only work well when you have a large group of guys or someone willing to pay a lot of $$$.

The #s worked well for you because 6 guys didn't pay at the door and you saved $900 there, right? If you didn't have a good connection i think your minimuim F&B would have been at probably 2x what you ended up being asked to pay...

And lastly sometimes its just say you and your girl.... yes tables are nice but if its just 2 of you, its going to probably be a lot more $ per person.

Pretty much all of them. Just bring it up when you make the reservation. Note - the pricing is basically the same.... so if you have say 6 people and they say 2 bottles @$450 each ($900), they'll say sure we can do that but you have to spend $900.

not sure what to say about your $2.5K quote except its waaaay too high... the normal rule of thumb is 1 bottle per 3 people... so you should have been quoted 2 bottles max... and being outside in the winter i could see 1 bottle as they never sell out the tables outside when its really cold.

FYI Tao is 'only' $375 per bottle. The first time i was at XS for BS we paid $400-450 but now its $525 I think...

As a price point, 3 weeks from now at Marquee (Cinco de Mayo and a fight weekend), i was quoted $2K minimum spend for Erick Morillo for 8 guys on the patio.

i see you edited your post... did the girls come in with the guys as part of the group or go in separately as if you were not part of the guy's group? that would make a difference as the cost is based on the # in your grop.

the girls got walked in by a promoter without the guys.. we met them once we got inside.. im not sure if that ONE extra guy making it 5 instead of 4 was really what made it the difference in price.

either way if it was 4 or 5, $2.5K for a patio table during the winter is waaaaay overpriced. not sure what happened there.... maybe their minimum was like 2 bottles but you drank 3-4 and with 30% tip/tax the bill was $2k+?

it was two bottles of Henny VSOP. Yeah its not so much the price point but the location was a buzzkill (literally).
