Sylenth1 vs Zebra2 (pg. 5)

I'm going to make a VST synth plugin that will destroy them all.

Well, it'll be the equal of some, inferior than others and better than most at the market I aim it at.

And i'll make hundreds of really cool presets for it.

You'll see.

To all of you guys:

Doesn't really matter, use whatever makes you more comfortable, what is not restricting you or your music - if you are crappy producer Zebra is not going to help you at all!

Is is just up to your preferences.

I still like my Sylenth and "Life must go on" ;)

Cheers,

why not go outside your comfort zone. Honestly, this is why music tends to suck. People content with the minimum.

But, that doesn't help the OP. He is asking us to help him make a choice between two different synths.

I'm with L4C on this. If you're only going to keep one, Zebra is the logical choice IMO because it is far more versatile. That doesn't mean it's the right reason for everyone, but that's my 2 cents.

Well when I said I'm making a VST synth I meant it. We have somebody doing the GUI mockups, I'm talking to a couple of companies about licensing code, there's a budget put aside and the next step will be hiring a coder to do the majority of the actual work.

That's way outside my comfort zone. But it.

And this is good question??

I think that first people need to feel that they are missing something, that their current software is limiting his/her creativity before they can search for something new, more flexible, original with tons of possibilities in sound creation - till they reach that point, thay are not going to make that next step (me included lol).

But I said that before, I will take a look at this Zebra phenomena ;)

fabfilter could really do some damage if they just combine what they already have, steal some ideas from Zebra and Massive. I mean they already have the code for great fx, amd that is the part i think gives most synths their character.

That's why you should buy those parts in by people that know how to make it.

i have a plan

fabfilter is based in Germany. I call in a favour with Mossad. Fabfilter's owner had a distant relative that profited from slave labour which one can only assume trickle downed to fabfilter's initial start up.

So mossad sends in a team , sanctioned hit, meanwhile i take the laptop with the source code. What mossad doesn't know is that i was filming the whole thing. I then call my contact in Algeria who smuggles me into Iran where i show them this footage and tell them that the only way to get back at them is to fight fire with fire. Iran gives me 2 camels and a million dollars. I pay 20$ and watch someone give the camel a blowjob.

I then go Berlin and hire ex KGB blackops to raid waves' head office. Again, i take the code and take a little jew gold from the CO desk. With the jew gold, i pay half the team to go to LA and kill nick pheonix.

Once the head of EW is dead, then use his coke supply to pay a team of crack computer hackers to hack UHE's network getting all their code. Not the entire supply. I mean i keep some for parties and stuff.

and voila, i now have pretty much the building blocks of the best synth ever made, enough stimulants to keep me awake until the product is finished.

, i just quickly pitched the idea to a buddy and Tom cruise wants to option it for Mission Impossible 6. Oh well.

My lunatic quota is full

But that sounds like an excellent plan otherwise, and you already know somebody that can score the straight to TV movie.

It could be as good as the Billionares Boys Club. Oh Judd, what happened?

Now if only there was some kind of nigerian prince willing to finance the operation
