Posting events in the West Coast Forum??

Do you think we should start applying rules to people that post events in the west coast forum? This forum tends to have a lot of traffic with both users and lurkers so it attracts promoters to post their events. I’ve never had a problem with people posting events because the poster/promoter would be active in within the forum (a new member). Recently, there have been a lot of new accounts created where they just post an event with some presale link/bottle service link and disappear. To me… that’s spam. I already get a ton of emails and FB invites…

Yes… I know you can choose to hide the event postings but I don’t want to do that as many of the event postings have great discussions (both on topic on off).

So I’m just wondering if the West Coast Forum should start applying rules for posting?
Just some thoughts:
1. New accounts must obtain mod approval before posting an event (in the events section). I’ve been on a lot of different forums where this is required.
2. Offer a limited number of guest/discount list to TA members for non-special events 
3. These new users can ask other members to post the event for them in exchange for guest/discount list or event pay the member to post for them.
4. Must reach Senior Member status.
I’m pretty much bored at work and figured I’d post something. Hopefully this entertains some of you guys 

I think there should be. At least have a certain number of posts/replies before you're allowed to post events. I remember asking for something like this and Swamper said NO!

They must provide free guest lists during Memorial Day weekend.

completely agree. I don't have a problem with active TA members (friends) making money but these folks that just sign up to post... that!

Yep, I agree. I'm pretty sick of DubstepDist spamming this forum with his crappy website and blatant wantickets affiliate links.

LOL!!! thanks for the ego boost. I'm not a worthy candidate for a mod though. Folks like Woody would be excellent though. I like Bas too. I'm sure that Bas is pretty busy with his upcoming wedding though. And no... it's not to Clovis :)
