That's what happens when you get popular. |

its like electro house became euro dance. seriously wtf. in the last 2 months. It is funny. I mean it is euro dance. Pretty much. YOu have that, then you have the guys with add doing complextro, what a dumbname. |

Wolfgang went from incredible electro house like Undertaker, Firepower & Flashback to making hands-up Swedish Mafia House.
I don't exactly think it's abysmal but it's incredibly generic and bland... And much of his album was odd and lacked a memorable quality. Despite most of the tracks having vocals, they lacked a hook. |

hit and miss lately .... mnage a trois was great.
he always seems to be following the crowd, but just does it at a better quality than the rest.
when he came out with that electro house sound he was on top of his game though.
with that being said can you blame him , he practically went unnoticed the ten 10 years he was making soulful house music. |

Then fire him and get a new one, it's not like there's not fifty of them standing outside home depot. |

Electro House lost what little edge it had in 2009 with the Klaas wave. Then when it was at it's cheesiest (think electro house tracks with big rock&roll breakdowns), the uplifting trance boys from 2k2 took it to its heart, and finished off whatever coolness that was ever present.
complextro? it's electro house with an skrillex arp playing uber cheese. not a new genre. hardly even a fusion of two.
i dont know what has happened in the last 2 months, but electro house became euro dance a looong time ago. and not the cool kind where you wave your hands around to when youre drunk and yell "what is looooooveeee babyyy dont huurt meee". |

his last track on beatport is absolutely not what he used to do, similar to what avicii and shm does true, but at least i find it catchy and well done. His collab with tiesto is simply awful. |

Fair play to that.
I want to open a cool underground restaurant, and I wont sell - out by offering well liked popular dishes, oh no, to stay cool and underground I'm going to offer food hardly anyone notices |

deadmau5 is doing fine. He has been consistent, doing what he does and not really jumping completely in a span of 1 month. Gartner literally changed his entire aesthetic in 1 month. And electro isn't all like that, guys like dilemn still make great tracks.
HE didn't have to sell out, he was nominated for doing what he was doing , i think thats what most would call recognition. It literally happened over night. Shrunken heads was great, then that track there and back, pretty much nothing in terms of any sign of transition, |

Er, did you just polish off your crate of Yquem or something?
The Mau5 was THE poster boy of that 8th note house (the stuff which Kaskade used to make and Adam K still does) and switched in the space of a few months to electro, never to go back to that old sound he was so damn famous for and made his name on.
in fact he's one of the clearest examples of someone changing their sound.
Gartner changed his sound for money. Pure and simple. He realised that he could go from selling a couple of 1000 tracks on beatport to getting paid $100k for a couple of hours in Vegas, just by putting out some stuff that 30k millionaires and their umpalumpas could fistpump to. |
