Alright here we go, this is definitely where I should have my say.
I am the expert of depressing music and I can tell you some of the people on this thread wouldnt have a clue about it.
"Rob D - clubbed to death", haha! doesnt matter what mix it is,
a depressing song has to real sad to be sad if you follow....
Radiohead are the most depressing band in the world.
listen to some of that.
Radiohead - Knives Out
Radiohead - Paranoid Android (one of the parts of the song)
Radiohead - Im not here (I think that is the title)
Main theme from 'Armageddon'
Coldplay - beautiful world
Alex Lloyd - Green (Australian singer)
Alex Lloyd - Amazing
They are some tracks out of the many.
P.S
the Radiohead tracks dont seem sad after the first listen because you
have to get into them a little but "Once your into radiohead you cant get out". Also you said what is the most depressing song:
"Radiohead!" they are the masters of depression. |

nope - ive got it now! the saddest track ever written is OFFICIALLY Allegri - Miserere mei, Deus. this was written in the 17th century for an 8-voice choir. this piece was decleared so emotional that the Emperor at the time banned it from being performed!
ha - beat that then! |

Yeah right... pretty uplifting track, and you call it depressing?
Try the aforementioned Battleship Grey, or Rob D - Clubbed to death (Kurayamino remix) |
That track is absoluteley amazing!
Do you have some more in that category?
Thanks! |

I think I'm going to write down all of these tracks and download them all. I'm not going through a depression or broke with my girlfriend, nothing similar, just I like 99% more sad tunes than happy tunes.. from the ones I've seen mentioned I have to agree with many, but specially:
2 Players - Signet (beauty track from early 2002, hardly gets mentioned but it's top, genial)
Dutch Force - Deadline |

GOod question, there are a lot of overwhelmingly sad trance songs out there..
my picks would be;
Mekka - Diamondback
Three Drives on A Vinyl - Sunset on Ibiza
James Holden - Kaern
James Holden - I have Turned Out The Light
I agree that adagio for strings is the most notorious tear jerker though!
Ilina:( :( :( |
