Its not that weird really. Sultan & Ned Shepard closed things out for Robbie Rivera a few weeks ago at Governors Island.

Either way, really looking forward to Saturday.

BTW, I'm going to be giving away 2 tickets to Saturday's show tomorrow (Friday) via my Twitter page and ZackRothMusic FB page. Follow / like both pages for your chance to win. :)

Governors island is a great venue. Too bad a F'n vodka and tonic costs $18.

Are they broadcasting the whole day or just gareth's set?
Everybody, except Zach.

Gold can go pretty hard, having him close is going to be pretty awesome actually :) Musically makes sense, in a big way.

Im listening to the show live online and am really impressed with Jerome Isma-ae's set. No cheese, dubstep, electro, trouse, annoying mashups - just straight beats! He did play alot of his own stuff, but did a great job of building up his set.

Hopefully he comes back to NYC soon!!

It was a fun day. It's really funny tho that this was Gareth's show and his set was the worst of all the sets that day. He should stop with mush-ups, he's terrible at it.

Other than that all other DJs played great sets. Best set has got to go to Jerome, seen him first time and I was blown away, reminded me of the good ol' trance days.

Also heard a lot of Pryda tracks from most DJ's, hearing Pryda's mix of Midnight City twice made my night!

If you've seen him recently, you'd just shake your head: the bastardized rock and pop bootlegs ("Smells Like Teen Spirit"), the electro bombs, and the overplayed top hits of today, the lack of flow. As a fellow DJ and producer, he's upset me with the lowest common denominator stuff he played out the last few times I caught him, which is really all it is unfortunately: a collection of music that the people leaving the Avicii and Afrojack stages can enjoy with a few new trance heads sprinkled in. For most people, it's not just a matter of "he doesn't play trance". He's gone the musical route of the Meatpacking District-style "mashups DJ", or NOW 92.3 DJs on Friday nights..

This so accurately describes his set it's almost like you were there in the future and then went back in time to write this post.

His set killed my mood. What a bummer...

He's been going down this road for 2-3 years, and yet every year his bookings get bigger and better and more high profile... I hear nothing but complaints after anyone I know goes to see him for the past 2 years, and yet, like I said, his fame grows exponentially. Blows my mind.

Hope the night was recorded, would love to hear what Jerome and Gold threw down.

Yeah I know :(, I saw him at Ultra this year and heard his EDC NJ set as well and these sets were essentially the same. Saturday was no different. Last chance, that was. But as you say he gets bigger and bigger for some stupid reason. I blame casuals tho, who go to these events to see the name not to hear good music. IF there is next time, I'm getting drunk, maybe I'll be able to digest this silliness a bit better :toothless
