The Divided State of America

I am American by birth and probably a 8th generation born in this country. Problem is, I'm not truly American. I don't believe in this country and what it stands for and especially what it's become. I have never voted in my life because it's proven that does NOT matter. Our society is the most backwards on earth and is a violent society. If I was given the chance I would gladly revoke my citizenship of this hell hole and never return. Damn the Divided states of America.

Did not think people like you existed in Louisiana. Are you just visiting :conf:

The important thing is that you begin taking legitimate steps toward getting the out of here. I don't plan on settling down in this country, myself. Though I'd eventually like to move overseas, for the time being, my plans are to apply primarily to Canadian grad schools & take it from there.

I was born and raised my entire life in Louisiana and my family has been there since our ancestors were thrown out of Canada. Yes, people like me do exist here.

There are other countries in the world that are more "backward" than the USA. In my opinion.
zidumare
backward is forward backwards.

I hear other countries are nicer, but I've never been to them and almost certainly never will be long enough to judge them accurately. So...meh.

It would be cool to be the cosmopolitan sort who has lived in a dozen countries, but that's not really in the cards.

I, for one, find so divine these States of mine. So United like all over and such and I like our big trucks. There are lessons learned in hallowed halls where wisdom bends, relents to pause and gesture towards our molester to begin our search for freedom. I admire our barriers and John McCain. But most especially the best in me is left in the corners of Arizona. Where spics are frightened and our whites are whitened like a white wash backwash slashed off triton from the right hand of our authority. I love Toby Keith and pollution clouds and the solution now is a profusion of clouts, their privatized mouths guided by our viral wits now bend our swaying 'round through a coursing expound of a collective moral obligation to not let gays marry. Ever.
