i like the discoey one with the piano and steve latenight. the mangly noises near the beginning the beatport clip on the piano one would sound incredible on a real serious system

hehe go back and look up some of the old Qattara, beat foundation and Big C stuff on youtube. super flaming hands in the air piano stuff and tall bro that is 1/2 of groove armada was involved in all of those
even when he was making radio pop with GA he was always djing pretty good tunes. i saw him at space one night a few years ago and he melted my face off.
nice one, will check those out. that's the thing though, these guys although make fun party poppy tunes still somewhat go back and forth between genres and can still release good music, in wolfgangs case he completely abandoned everything and just went on to make terrible music, i mean remixing Beethoven.. wtf?
bcope
you want the ultimate WTF?
remember jive bunny? that horrific megamix that had the same beat and sampled like little richard, chuck berry, elvis and all that ?
one of the guys that did that was one of the tidy bros, who started tidy trax hahaha
all those awful tidy trax records were paid for by jivy bunny money hahahahaha

that sure is a wtf as well.
wasn't too familiar with tidy trax but i did know jive bunny, stuff is ing terrible lol, resurrected swing music merged with a metronome like beat pattern, awful.
there are lots of examples like this though, sven vath with OFF! or erick morillo with reel 2 real lol

Not possible once you're convinced that $$$ is the sole yardstick for "success"

I think overall hapiness with one's job is the yardstick, and after years of hard work, one can lose the feeling of doing it for the pleasure of it, at which point wanting to make a comfortable life for one's self is prefectly reasonable. In Youngman's case, I doubt he was making ample money to make it worthwhile for him. I think the fans' perception of what credible artists make often differs from reality.
