I think this fill noise it fell out favor for huge reverse crashes-to-bass drops, and later, white noise sweeps. You can make the sound when the synthesizer filter self oscillates and no other waveforms are present. Resonance is usually at 100% and the filter cut-off opens to give it that sweep. It will sound more like the second video than the first, though.
Definitely don't hear the sound too much these days. Also, great thread.
It's a collection of the early ART singles. It's out of print, I can't find a rip anywhere and it costs 40 bucks on discogs. If nobody here has it I'll probably pay a seller for a rip (works well if you want rare expensive out of print and don't care for CDs)
I found this one, which doesn't have all the same tracks but still a fair amount.
Amazing . Sadly there's no rip of the CD to be found and there's nothing for sale on discogs.

Wanted to bump this thread because i was working on a random mix for a friend and was re listening to these two tracks and thought they were very appropriate for TA and especially this thread.

I'm still obsessed with this stuff. There's a cool recent label called Audiofugitives that does this style with a modern touch. It's sort of a mix between harsher raw analogue jams and more moody melancholic track.
