| my opinion based on what i've been told. I don't have a therapist in the room . But psychologists actually do give opinions. They are just based on some body of scientific data. A recommendation is an opinion. So call it what you want. A prognosis/diagnosis is also an opinion. Law advice is also, an opinion. they are just expert opinions based on experience and research. I think you are splitting hairs. Opinion isn't perhaps the favoured word as it undermines authority and can increase the sense of what is being opined as somewhat more judgemental. If it makes you happy, i could add informed opinion. But ya, do you really care ? |

If it feels like a full-time job, you're in the wrong relationship. If you're constantly walking on eggshells, having to change your entire personality just to please the other, something is going to break eventually. Continually bickering out your differences with someone seems futile and useless. But if you can be yourself, and she can be herself, and somehow you get along, understand, love and respect each other and feel fulfilled in the relationship, then that's the right person.

| I agree but i think when i say work, i mean that sort of work one might call investment ? Even just platonic friends requires a certain investment in time and energy. Learning piano takes work even tho the work can be rewarding. But it takes a certain amount of dedication or times when you feel like i'd rather not practice but just do it. |

Sure, it should nevertheless just flow naturally. It shouldn't constantly feel like work, spending time and energy on a relationship/friendship should be something you want to do, rather than something you feel you have to do.
As I said, if it feels like a grueling full-time job, it's simply not worth your time or energy. At least that's how I feel. |
