They were relevant half a decade ago. Now they are actually jumping on the 'deep house/hipster house' bandwagon. Their releases are just typical candy-kid prog (if they aren't "deep house"), nothing more.

Well you definitely said it better than I Chris.

there's quality, then there's trash. that's all that matters.

I'm surprised you could pull your tongue all the way of Aeonism's arse for long enough to contradict yourself. Nicely done.

PivotTechno says that referring to yourself in the third person is a surefire way to win the admiration and respect of others, he does...
Aeonism
Yes I am aware MSZ, I have been using this forum for years!

Doesn't make me think of prog house at all tbh.
While the track itself isn't bad, I am certainly not awed by it.

It took people this long to figure it out? Beatport does this with every genre that's being sold there. What's new? The platform is owned by them and them only. They'll push their ty music in the charts because they have control over it.

The problem with the genre starts with the name; is it still progressing as we speak, did it become stable, or is it about to enter the regressive phase?

It's like 'Alternative Rock'. Alternative to what? And as that genre went way into the mainstream, was there a watershed moment when it clearly stopped being alternative?

The above silly commentary aside, I do agree with the other poster who thought that the 'big room' qualifier would really help on Beatport. But beyond category, it sure would be great to have them introduce the concept of tagging. So songs could get tags across genres, and searches could be made on that basis.

Were you referring to my comment?

When I said 'the above' I meant my own semantic-based observation on musical genres' names, not anyone else's post. Sorry for the confusion.

It's impossible to comprehend how such an absolute site like Beatport is getting so many exclusive releases.
