Sweet
So we do have a strong demand for this.
Any suggestions or where to go?
Most of us know each other but new people are welcome |

| I'm in! I love nature. My friends and I usually go up to northern New Hampshire, but anywhere with a lake would be awesome. Gotta get it done soon, though; cold weather starts soon! |

| I'll honestly go wherever! You guys work it out and just let me know and I'll be there. I've got a tent and too. |

I've actually been looking into Adirondacks for some time already. Place looks awesome and HUGE. Recently, a friend just came back from there and her pics were amazing..the scenery and all looked like it was a lot of fun
I'm down for whenever except the first weekend of oct- I'm not missing robag!!! and CC the next day! :toothless |

Do yo have the location of that place? Sounds like a great place and its good to know that somebody has experienced that place before.
We should do it towards the end of sept cause I know some people are going for ADE |

adirondacks is a decent hike from NYC you have to think about driving up after work on a friday and when sundown is for setting up a camp, it's not the easiest to do so in the dark unless you are familiar with the site
I would suggest New Paltz for the first go-round if we are trying to do this sooner then later, the logistics are much easier and it's 1-2hrs closer then the adirondacks.
you can hit new paltz in 1-2hrs after work, to get to the adirondacks you're looking more like 4 hours (3 at the least to hit albany) and new paltz also has a rather large (although very hippy oriented still) town in the event that we need last minute supplies.
it's good to see people discuss these things, like most experienced hikers/campers/outdoors men, you have to be prepared for all situations so don't hesitate to bring that 8-12" blade or that hand ax with you where ever you go. |

| You're right about the setting up during the dark part. I've done it before and its not easy. Never heard of new paltz.. |
