That looks amazing. DO you know of any camping sites there?

i haven't camped there personally but a lot of people i know who hike or climb hit up new paltz and you know, if you climb you camp #gunklife so there has to be some sites to set up on. town is about 2-3 miles away from the park entrance so again, probably not a bad idea to pick a closer spot than adirondacks that has some accessibility to supplies if we're trying to squeeze it into a weekend and set up our site on a friday early evening.

i'd also venture to say that we would probably want to hike up a ridge and setup camp on a highline versus down by the lake. fall season will probably be too cold for the lake and waking up to a sunrise off a ridge is probably more desirable at this point in the season also a clear front row seat to a starry night. the downside is we have to haul supplies on a hike up a ridge versus have accessibility to car.

after camping at coachella with 100+ degree heat all day, i think i can handle anywhere. down for wherever you guys are cool with!

I actually enjoy hiking with supplies to reach a desirable destination ...if you wanna come with to Colombia, you will know what that's all about. My friend is real experienced, like hardcore hiker with a bunch of her friends. I could tell them to join, which I'm sure they'll be interested, that would be quite essential to the trip. Adirondacks is a bit of a mission (4hrs +/-) but def worth it, imo. Lights don't exist? But I'm down for whatever, as long as I'm camping, fishing, taking a shower by the lake and getting lost in the woods..I'm all for it.

Im def cool with this. The more basic the trip is the better.

Its just that we have to meet in the middle, especially for those that havent really done this and that can't drive far.

My proposed dates are 21-22-23. It shouldn't be that cold yet.

How about a definite headcount?
