So there is a pretty decent interest in going camping/fishing/nature. Some of us already discussed this already. How about we get a group going + friends or whoever you want to invite thats down for this.
-We should choose an area thats not too far (Upstate/Pa)
-Preferably on a lake
-Something thats more secluded
-Date maybe something in 2-3 weeks?
Lets chip in ideas and come up with a plan.
I've done lake george few times, might be too far for some people + i have done many other camping trips before...

Come on up TA's!!
So cool I decided to click on the NY forum because it's the closest choice they give me to where I live! I'm on the border of Vermont and New Hampshire and am throwing a 12 hour festival on the 22nd of this month! There are nearby campgrounds, check the video ad out, we just posted it: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?...t=video_comment (youtube is blocked where I am at work, I'll post that link tomorrow)

It's only about a 5 hour drive from NYC! Bring a tent and party with us all day and night, we have 15+ DJs and Performers, dance crews, BYOB, only $10 admission, Laser show, and fireworks at night. BE THERE!! <3 |

♥ SEPTEMBER 22nd 2012 ♥
We will hold our first ever outdoor dance music festival to help save our beloved, historical drive-in! (Rain date 9/29)
I opened this day/night festival to EDM performers and artists who were willing to donate their time and services so that all of the money that is made at the door can go to the drive-in. They need $70,000 for a digital projector since the movie companies will no longer be making film next year. They have raised $13,547 so far. (IF they are not able to raise the total amount for the projector, they will be able to use whatever is raised as a down payment on a loan.)
Learn more here ---> http://www.fairleedrivein.com/savethedrivein.html
THANK YOU DJs/PERFORMERS/VENDORS/CREW for coming together like this to help us raise this money! You are all amazing!! ♥ ♥ ♥
$10 admission
BYOB- NO GLASS!
All ages welcome!
Preferably no dogs- The rule during a drive-in movie is if you bring your dog, he/she has to stay in your vehicle. (Obviously our event is a lot longer than a movie, so please just keep things simple and leave your dog at home!)
THE OUTSIDERS CREW WILL BE PERFORMING!

STRUCTURE, FUN, ATTENTION AND LOVE~
Creative Movement School of Dance houses a 1400 sq foot dance space. Our studio is family oriented and the teachers at Creative Movement have degrees in dance. Our program offers tap, jazz and ballet as standard curriculum and then we offer options in Hip Hop, acrobatics and Modern. Started in 2003, Creative Movement has earned reputation as the best preschool program in the area and rightly so. Tammi DeFelice has spent her entire life revolved around dance and writing a comprehensive program that allows children to express themselves at the same time as learning discipline and dance technique. As they graduate from the preschool program, the excellence continues. Post graduation, Tammi spent 5 years teaching at a preschool, other dance schools and travelling extensively as a way to grow as a person, dancer and teacher. She has studied from a myriad of personalities and has had the opportunity to study under some amazing people, many of them 3-5 years old. From this experience, she has created a syllabus that includes 3 programs, each consisting of multiple levels that will take your dancer from fun expression to technically superior expression. This is the best place for your dancer to grow as a person as well as a dancer.

One is simply a conductur that just happens to know how to "DJ". I have been in clubs, shows, and raves since I was 16 so being able to feel music just comes sort of naturally. When I was learning to mix music, I would practice beat matching without headphones, and pitch bending with effects. My goal has always been to not just play music but essentially make people react like "whoa that's something awesome". There is a need now more than ever for artist, dj's, and composer to have a love for the music they play. I happen to pride myself on the fact I would choose play "the lounge" or "basement" and be able to play the music I love any day, rather than a main room which the music is dictated by whichever patrons spend the most money. My set's are always completly improvised and never the same, because every musical experience should be unique and hold a place in the heart of those who hear.
2:00 - batwings (Boston, Blend Boston/RAW Natural Born Artists)
batwings. It means different things to different people. To you, it means pure awesomeness. To him, it means just another day in the beat cave with his dog.
You’re his dog.
Born in 2009 out of an unforbidden love for music, batwings began swerve driving his way into the Boston underground and beyond. Mixes, remixes, remixes of mixes, production and a never ending search for delicious beats consume his evenings and weekends.
And he dreams of you.

5:00 - Clever Girl (Nashua/Symmetry)
A former indie rock & metal-core frontman, Clever Girl is certainly no stranger to the music world, just a slightly different one. From a long history of being in national touring acts like the Human Flight Committee and To Speak of Wolves, the decision was made to embrace his passion for electronic dance music and start a new project. Thus, Clever Girl was born. In just a few short months, Clever Girl has recorded material for a full length album with co-producer Brooks Paschal (Versa Emerge, There Fore Tomorrow), released official remixes for The Voice's star Casey Desmond and Boston favorite Ingrid Gerdes, as well as popular online bootleg remixes of Britney Spears, Rihanna, Skrillex and more. With obvious love for all forms of EDM, Clever Girl produces a vast array of tracks from electro to house to electronic pop to even a little taste of dubstep. Since the initial release of the first bit of music and upon bringing the act live out, Clever Girl has already played some of the biggest dance parties in the Boston area, including earning a residency at one. Lacing every performance with the raw energy of his days of a rock frontman, you can expect nothing but the best live shows, fully equipped with glowing DJ table and a glowing "Clever Girl" sign that literally lights up the dance floor. In less than a year's time, having already opened for the likes of Zedd, Porter Robinson, Mustard Pimp, The M Machine, Kids At The Bar, Drop Goblin, DJ Bl3nd and many more, he is quickly gaining steam. Now that his take over of the New England area has begun, rest assured, the country and then the world are next.

9:00 - ShaR4 (DEVOTE/6N7 Music/Eresys Recording)
Shara's interest in music began at an early age by having both parents as music teachers; her mother a pianist, father a guitarist, and both are music teachers. With training in piano and music theory, she began composing songs at the age of 13, performing live on the piano at different events throughout her teenage years. Her interest in EDM came later in 2005, when she was introduced to the Montreal dance scene. Local DJs such as DJ Maus, King Louis, DJ XL, Creator and Mighty Kat influenced her taste in EDM along with International DJ's such as Junkie XL, DJ Dan, Satoshi, Benny Benassi, Danny Howells and Preach.
Shortly after, she began producing and remixing tracks of different genres. She was introduced to different software programs which enabled her music abilities to strive through the computer. She quickly began to produce tracks that were widely liked by many. She currently has releases with 6N7 Music, Move The Masses, Ascension Records, and Android Muziq.
After getting a taste of the production side of things, Shara began deejaying locally in her state in 2007. Since then, she has deejayed events all over the North East.
Shara's dream of bringing people together to share a dance floor while helping humanity has come true. She has taken into her own hands to create nights where multiple DJs share the decks while benefiting a charity. She calls those nights DeVote. Admission is a little cash + a non-perishable food item, clothes, toys, books, ect. depending on what charity is being helped.
Not only is money or donated items given to multiple organizations, but she brings awareness to them as well.
Stay updated with the schedule on this website or "like" DeVote on Facebook to know when and where DeVote will be next: www.facebook.com/devotioniskey

The one in NY is cancelled. I don't think many will head to the one in MA.
I might be crazy but you can always go to an event. Meet up there and then when the event ends in the morning all head straight to camping. Set up, take a nap and then chill the rest of the weekend or the opposite...meet up at camping and then all go to an event together later or the following day. |
